If Dragon Boat is open Im happy, but it was totally empty last year and I thought it had turned its toes up. Its great for dinner. West lake is my favorite for Yum Cha at lunch as it is all hand made onsite yet not very expensive. But Dragon Boat (about the same pricing as WestLake) has a nicer dinner menu and IMV a better experience... but its not yumcha, although you can order a small range of entrees that feature on the Yumcha (lunch) menu.

Thanks Damo, looked open online but just tried to call and the number is disconnected. I'll look into Westlake. Thanks for the tip.

From one Molly Duker to another: Vintage Cellers is 3 doors away and Westlake charge very little for corkage. Go the Ginger Prawns, Sui Mai and the Footballs. Delicious.

They’ll hang around for awhile until we put our  foot down and rip them a new one. Demons by 47

1) So they can worry about their silly song instead?

2) His team are mostly kids who are into music, fun etc, not philosophy students.  Not sure I've heard of coaches filling player minds with achievements of a host of well known 'leaders', simultaneously.  The mantra most heard from coaches and players is "Keep It Simple'!

But if it works for them, great.  I just couldn't help notice the difference in coaching approaches.

1. Sticks & stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me - but songs will 🤦🏻‍♂️

What do you base this on?

I base that on them being a very good side in 2021.

They may well be the best side in 2022, which is a different year to 2021.

Counterpoint: bang bang bang; premiers; they can go [bad word] themselves.

GO DEMONS!!!

I understand those who caution against over-confidence. We need to be focused and disciplined to win

But let's not forget the last time we played them we smashed them by 74 points. In a grand final. We are a better all round team than they are and as long as we have our minds on the job at hand we will win this game

Bad news for the dees on the injury front !

According to Fox Footy tonight ' Tom Rivers ' is injured and won't play Wednesday night

That's upsetting, especially since his brother Trent is also out injured. !!!

Has the flag raising time been announced yet?

6:30pm

First sign of team selection.

With Rivers and Petty missing from the GF side Gus’s selections are Hunt and Smith to replace them and Max has gone with Hunt and Tomlinson. This is from their ‘selection segment’ on their podcast unless there’s a left field selection.
Pretty obvious it would be those 3, interesting to see who misses out.

Reminds me too much of this old pearler.

Apparently Hunter isn't in the Doggies' side.

Possibly practising his limbo dancing? Or driving practice/lessons?

Am I the only one that can't stand that bloke?

I think it’s fair to say he’s been freed from Deesire

Hated him from the moment he grinned like an @r$ehole WHILE milking a high free during the GF. Didn't get the last laugh though, [censored].

A couple of things I'd like to see on Wednesday

A banner in the cheers squad that says " bang, bang, bang, bang!"

Another that says, "surely not another one"

And for Dees to enter the field to Freed from desire, with us fans doing a great rendition from the stands

Hunter is an insufferable, diving, smug campaigner but I also rate him pretty highly as a player. So this news makes me doubly excited.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
