He reminds me of Tom Phillips. Is that a fair comparison?

Phillips was very much an outside mid, Brown looks much more of an on baller with tackles and contested footy a big part of his game.

Smaller, quicker inside mid with a lean frame but good contested work. Maybe a bit Darcy Parish like?

23 touches 4th  most in a dominate win. Only watched the end. Played in the guts.

Good to hear.

I didn get a chance to watch the game yesterday but will try and sit down to watch replay later this week.

In the Coates league game I have seen him play he reminds me so much of Josh Daicos with his ability to do his work on the inside but also spread hard to run and receive on the outside.

Hoping that was on show yesterday.

Didn’t you promise me ‘Nick’ Daicos??

What are you trying to hustle me here?

Josh is the better Daicos but no one's brave enough to admit it!

If you promise to keep this as quiet as possible, I would compare him to an early Zac Butters … but hush.

He’s a mix of Butters, Laird & Viney IMHO — Now that’s not necessarily how good he will be but that’s his ceiling! His floor would be a hybrid of say Caldwell & Connor MacDonald.

He is def low key and under the radar atm for his ability, ergo HS article that’s about “Father Sons dominating” the Games, it mentions Ashcroft, Croft, Watson but not Brown.

105 SuperCoach points (Ashcroft 125, Watson 116, Croft 98 w/4 Goals) is a solid outing & let’s hope there’s 5% being held back by some sound advice from dad & JT!!!

Exciting prospect. Butters went pick 12 remember & Laird was a rookie 😎

Josh is way more mercurial no doubt.

Nick is playing a tonne of outside footy, but he's a 20 year old kid. They're not all built like Clarrie. He will make his way inside when his body is ready, but he is also a great kick on both sides of his feet so does well on delivering the ball.

Just wondering if there is a way to see a replay of the Vic metro game?

Kynan Brown is playing today for Old Geelong Grammarians in B Section VAFA.

Hope to find out how he went if one of my mates ended up going to the game.

Not in the goals or in the bests (unlike his previous 2 games)

No luck from my mate who just emailed that OGG won and Old Trinity kicked themselves out of the game in the second quarter.

From the stats from that game there is nothing much to recommend him. Average Amos B grade game.

My sister doesn’t give much away concerning the players at Oakley, she is very protective of her boys!
I’ll do my best to get some more information,  but she did let me know the club had to speak to Nathan about his attitude and the comments he was making, (he wasn’t impressed with the Oakley coaches), he was very vocal on the sidelines.

Sounds like my Boss and his daughters playing netball.

Wayward kicking for goal, dump kicks inside 50 and some baffling umpiring all contributed to the Dees not getting out to an an early lead that may have impacted the result. At the end of the day the Demons were just not good enough and let the Hawks run away with their first win against the Demons in 7 years.

  • NON-MFC: Round 09

Round 9 kicks off out west with the Dockers hosting a Collingwood side resting several stars. Fremantle need to make a statement on their home deck after some disappointing form on the road, while the Magpies will be keen to maintain their Top 2 position. Friday night sees a must-win clash between two sides desperate to stay in touch with the eight. St Kilda have shown glimpses while Carlton are clinging to relevance after a flat start to the season. Saturday’s twilight game at Marvel pits the Bombers against a struggling Sydney outfit. Essendon can’t afford another close match against a lower-ranked side, while the Swans risk sliding down the ladder even further. Up in Darwin, the fourth-placed Suns will look to extend their stay in the top four. The Bulldogs have hit their stride with three big wins on the trot and will be very keen to consolidate on their momentum. The always fiery Showdown looms as pivotal for both clubs. Adelaide are eyeing a spot in the Top 4 with a win, while Port Adelaide’s season could slip away if they drop another game and fall further behind the pack. Sunday begins with a yawn fest between Richmond and West Coast. The Tigers need to bank the points to stay clear of the bottom two, while the Eagles are still chasing their first win of the year. The Giants face one of the league’s toughest road trips as they travel to GMHBA Stadium to face the Cats. With GWS at risk of a third straight loss, Geelong will be eager to consolidate their position inside the eight and start their climb up the ladder. The round wraps up with the top-of-the-table Lions heading to Ninja Stadium to take on the second-last Roos. The Lions should easily take care of the struggling Roos who might be powerless against the best in the comp. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?
