Yeo tackled him high, ended up on the ground beside him. Rolled on to him and held him down for a good fifteen seconds.

It was a fantastic goal but geez that should have been fifty but the umpires are too gutless to call it.

"Courageous" stuff there from the big-bodied WC mid.

Really struggles to get separation

Doesn't have a quick step or baulk, easy to predict him rounding onto the left

I suppose the heavy trackย doesn't help.

No way Kozzie milked that

As the ump said, it was a coat hanger. And yet Yeo not only deliberately and obviouslyย retarded Kossie getting up, but kept shaking his head at the decision. Home ground Eagles know they can exert thisย kind of influence overย the umpires, and it will ultimately work for them. If I was an umpire, that kind of stuffย would sh** me blind. I just donโ€™t understand how theyโ€™re so easily swayed.ย

Ridiculous comment.

He is a better option against Nic Nat. Goldstein, Nic Nat worry Max. Something Max has admitted.

Letโ€™s see what happens to them now without Bruce. They have great midfield depth but no key position depth. Every team has their particular strengths.ย

Maybe have him 1 out in the goal square with BB 30 meters out.

Not reliant on bont and mcrae?

You're kidding aren't you?

ย

our chance to go to the top of the ladder again and with a couple more wins, especially against Geelong, stay there. Players need to pull their finger out and get moving.

Itโ€™s disgraceful umpiring, but we know thatโ€™sย 90% odds-on to happen over there, worth about 6 goals a game. The bigger question is why weโ€™re slowing the game down at the wrong times. No run-past, no quick decision making to expose their lack of speed. They also beat us in contested ball that quarter. Donโ€™t correct that, we donโ€™t win, particularly not with their crowd umpireย advantages. Simples.ย

Ask James Jordon that question. Twice he slowed the game at half forward. Must be better

Come on Demons - show them you canย will need to beat 25 of them.

Love to see the dogs without the Bont (don't even need to name another player, as that would be enough).

I would say that Jackson has done well tonight. I would let him have a solid run NicNat. He can outleap him now, just needs to make sure his taps hit the target. Will struggle body on body at the throw ins.

Max, Oliver and Tracc have to turn it on in the second half.ย

Either we bring our pressure game now or goodnight. Umps will find a few more goals for Eagles as they always do. We need to win that contested ball and create scoring opportunities.

Weid would have been handy out there.

Coz his overhead marking recently has been superb?

Well for as bad as that quarter was where still in front. Need to lift big time.ย

Can someone, anyone on Demonland who thinks we don't get a rough run from the umpires, please explain the free kick against Rivers.

That is the worst free kick in the last 15 years of footy. The explanation was an absolute joke and 100% incorrectย

We're getting belted by umpires.

ย

Lots more players need to get involved and get the game back on our terms.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
