If Langdon is ok, no change. Weid took his chances and even melk laid a tackle or two.

So it was Langdon?   Subbed off in the dying minutes?

IF so then they must surely think has a 2 week injury.

Would be a huge out.  Who would replace him on a wing?  Maybe Hunt??

But as to changes -  Melksham mostly bog ordinary but it takes a lot to have him dropped.

looked like a dislocated finger? maybe, if i was to guess

changes:

OUT: Hunt

IN: Bowey/Lockhart

its tight for spots you have to play well to stay in. and you'd think we're ok for finals from here so why not see what one of these boys have got in them. weid would have been in the gun first half but got on the end of a few later on

Hunt is part of the back 6 that is absolutely humming and he gave JJ from the dogs an absolute bath tonight

We just played our most complete game of the season against a team most predicted to beat us, on a ground they dont lose at.

So, pending Langdon... NO CHANGE!

Absolutely.  Hunt was also important.  Played his role.

A few struggled at times (Weideman, Jackson, Hunt, Melksham) but no one played so badly to warrant being dropped IMO.

No change unless injury.

(if Langdon's out next week vs Brisbane that will hurt, big time).

jj's not a forward, just been shoved there to fit him in, don't think he really challenged hunt to defend him at all. hunt definitely didnt do anything the other two boys couldn't do and on current form i'd back them to offer more offensively this week. if it doesn't pay off in a couple weeks theres always the option to reverse it. but we need to keep the senior boys accountable and show the guys below that if you're in form we will reward you

Out: Weid, Langdon (if injured)
In: B.Brown, Baker

In some ways I'd like to keep Weid in to build his confidence, but at the same time it's important to drive standards, and Brown deserves a chance to build confidence in the 1s as well. Looking forward, Viney comes into this team but I have no idea at who's expense.

No change unless Viney is ok, but I have no idea who to drop to let him in.

agree to disagree ?, would be lucky to make their full strength side imo when dunkley, treloar, vandemeer, mclean, wood are fit

Id drop weed.

But I admit I may not be very objective.

Backed the dees over 39 points.

He shanked a shot to make it 42 points. Then his next two kicks, both of which should have set up scoring shots, were dead set clangers.

Id still drop him. One tackle. And 10 half jogs and coraaling.

Four possessions is rubbish.

Sure 3 goals, but 2 were gifts. And he dropped mutiple marks that he should have swallowed

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
