Lucifers Hero 40,717 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Oliver has another perfect 10! And taken the lead!! One of these days he will get the recognition he deserves from the media and the rest of the industry. And, hopefully from umpires when they do their Brownlow voting. Pates 9,697 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Watch the umpires somehow give Tex the 3 votes and 2 to Clarry. He was a completely different level to anyone on Saturday, almost dragged us singlehandedly over the line. 6 Quote
Demonland 74,431 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Strange way not to just say Oliver's Perfect 10 nabs him outright leader. Instead they take the opportunity to worship at the Bont's feet. 4 2 Quote

Deeoldfart 8,201 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 What a competitor he is!! His post match interview sums him up perfectly ........ he hates to lose! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pepXAgylna4 4 Quote
Jaded No More 68,976 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 The competition doesn’t appreciate Oliver because he is not a poster boy. But my god he is an elite player and I don’t give a flying f who does and doesn’t rate him. He is a star and he is ours. 8 5 Quote
Swooper1987 3,322 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Fantastic effort by Clarry. A consistently brilliant season thus far. Not at all surprised that Tracc doesn't feature on the leaderboard. I think the over the top adoration of Mark Robinson and the crew at the Herald Sun regarding Tracc's season thus far is somewhat misplaced. He's played in fits and starts, has had a couple of truly powerful performances and had many games with the odd moment. That there is substantial improvement in him, and to a lesser extent Gawn, is what gives me hope that this might be our year. But that aside, a great accomplishment thus far from Clayton. A deserved leader! 3 Quote
ProperDee 1,698 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 I’d take Clarry over Trac every day of the week. Christian needs to lose the friendliness/smiles/chats towards the opposition.and get a touch of mongrel in him. Leave that buddy krap for off field. 3 Quote
Demonised 1,378 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Can't be many who score a perfect 10 in a losing side. 1 Quote
ANG13 2,110 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 There’s an add on SEN promoting the game this Friday and it mentions a handful of stars from both teams and Oliver isn’t one of them. It sort of sums up the lack of appreciation for him across the board and that includes some Demonland members who until he had signed on for another couple of years were not worried if he left or not, because inside midfielders are easy to find. Well ones as good as Oliver are not easy to find, he’s a gun and will still get better. 1 Quote

Mongrel is essential; that sense of self and teammates bound together across a field of play. 3 Quote
Garbo 1,567 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Since day one, I’ve always thought Oliver had the potential to be our best player in the last 50 years. A hell of a thing if it happens considering the company in this team. 1 Quote
At the break of Gawn 4,513 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 He’s having a better season than anyone else going around right now. I’m glad I put money on him at $17 for the Brownlow. 3 Quote
The Swimming Dee 1,907 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 I think Saturday night’s game was the best he has played...it was an amazing performance! 1 Quote
Pickett2Jackson 3,904 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Reminder that Oliver is still just 23 years of age. 3 1 Quote
Bring-Back-Powell 15,549 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Could have as many as 21 brownlow votes after round 10. Quote
adonski 13,267 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Feels like the penny has dropped a bit where he's realising he's bigger, stronger & quicker than almost all mids Quote
D4Life 2,584 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Oliver is awesome - there weren’t any Demonlanders last year willing to trade him re Blues. AWESOME! 1 Quote

White line fever needed when the game is on. 1 Quote
layzie 34,528 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Had it on a string, literally. The ball would just bounce up for him perfectly. One of the primo efforts. 1 Quote
Kozzie4PM 765 Posted May 24, 2021 Posted May 24, 2021 Kicked 5 goals in the last 4 games as well - perhaps becoming a goal kicking midfielder. 1 Quote
Ted Lasso 19,586 Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 His kicking has improved out of sight, not only is he kicking the ball more which is great, he's becoming one of our better kicks imo. he's a very special player. 1 Quote
