yeah they arent world beaters and the 3-1  start was an abberation but they're not a basket case is all I am saying!  Remember last season they were odds on to go winless before they finally broke through.

I would take the Crows list over the Pies or Roos.

They are definitely a better side than Norf, who we struggled to beat away from the G.

Luckily we play Adelaide Oval very well. I think Lever would have some good tips for our backline to defend Walker, and while every game is losable, I think we have enough guys in the team who are under pressure to perform really well that we should win (think Weideman, Harmes, Melksham).

It may not be pretty, but I think we should get the job done. A nice sunny day on the cards too which will make for a lovely change from the wet miserable [censored] we've played in the last few weeks.

They barely mention us, just bagging their own players and each other, reminds me of this place a decade ago.

A decade ago! Try last year.

Taking my son to his first dees game tomorrow. He is 5. We live in Adelaide and the supporters are impossible. Crows supporters I've given up on because they literally have no idea about the game. Hopefully not too much abuse for me and my lad tomorrow. If he lasts a half, I'll consider it a success!

Took my young bloke to his first game when he was a five year old. It was versus Freo at Subiaco oval and Mitch Clark was our best player by a mile.
We got pumped in the first quarter and that was enough for him.
“Can we go home Dad?”

”Absolutely. Just let me finish my beer.” ?

Enjoy the game and a start of a special relationship for a life time.

Hope we win by 10 goals but play good footy like we have all year.

The team probably takes every game as hard with no easybeats.  Your spot on with list quality.   They have the likes of Talia, Walker, Sloane, and will give the other lower teams a chalenge.

I took my daughter to the G for a half when she was still in nappies, sat her on my knee.

I got her to sing the song halfway through the last Qtr when the game was well and truly over. In the absence of any other noise, her little voice singing melted the Redlegs members area. I’ll remember it forever.

Enjoy the experience with your boy.

Hopefully you  don't get the duo of Adelaide supporters who sat behind me and Mrs B with clackers. "Clack, clack, clack, Ad-laide' ad nauseum. Only relief was yelling back '3 syllables! 'each time they got to Ad-laide.

I didn't realise we had a 4-1 win/loss record against the Crows at the Adelaide oval. That's excellent. Granted the venue hasn't been around for long but i doubt we have anything close to that kind of record at any other away ground.

I attended the loss. That was when Bernie ruffled Danger’s feathers on a tag. In my mind, that was the match where I started believing we weren’t sh#t anymore. I also drank 67 west ends that day so the quality of my thinking was questionable

Last year?

Try right up to 3/4 time of round 2 this year!

Never met a Crows supporter capable of reading/writing so any bigfooty page has to be fake.

We played North Melbourne off about 3 hours of shuteye.

Im in the same boat, taking my two girls 4 and 7 to their first footy game at any level. It could be worst mate you could be taking him against Port the bunch of rabid ferals. Got the ipads ready and packed. Hoping for a quick start to silence them nice and early makes for better viewing and kills their confidence.

Crows will continue to fall away but their supporters should be hopeful.  At round 4 they were 3-1 in 5th position.  They have plenty to work with.

We will blow them off the park though.

2 of those wins were against North and the Suns at home by just 10pts.

How they beat the Cats in round 1 is still a mystery. Geelong simply didn’t turn up and by the time they did it was too late.

They’re still a sneaky chance of the wooden spoon in my opinion as I can only see their season getting worse and worse.

A kind of game where we go over there, get the job done and immediately focus on the doggies.

Actually pretty funny. one of my adelaide mates said they are a chance because "we are due for a loss" and "the crowd really gets behind the crows at home games" I think he's got to come up with better reasons than that.

Why a few in demonland say the same thing, some say it's a danger game, and give as  much reason why.

  • mfc - $1.20
  • afc  - $4.60

Still doesn't sit right constantly being favourites ?

Everyweek Sportsbet has tempting odds on backing against Melb but everyweek i dont wager. The North odds were absurd.Almost put money on...lol.Sports bet obviously has its finger on the pulse. You wonder when the ice finally breaks.

Could be today but Melbourne would have to be incredibly flat.

  • CASEY: Geelong

There was a time in the second quarter of the game at the Cattery on Friday afternoon when the Casey Demons threatened to take the game apart against the Cats. The Demons had been well on top early but were struggling to convert their ascendancy over the ground until Tom Fullarton’s burst of three goals in the space of eight minutes on the way to a five goal haul and his best game for the club since arriving from Brisbane at the end of 2023. He was leading, marking and otherwise giving his opponents a merry dance as Casey grabbed a three goal lead in the blink of an eye. Fullarton has now kicked ten goals in Casey’s three matches and, with Melbourne’s forward conversion woes, he is definitely in with a chance to get his first game with the club in next week’s Gather Round in Adelaide. Despite the tall forward’s efforts - he finished with 19 disposals and eight marks and had four hit outs as back up to Will Verrall in the second half - it wasn’t enough as Geelong reigned in the lead through persistent attacks and eventually clawed their way to the lead early in the last and held it till they achieved the end aim of victory.

  • REPORT: Geelong

I was disappointed to hear Goody say at his post match presser after the team’s 39 point defeat against Geelong that "we're getting high quality entry, just poor execution" because Melbourne’s problems extend far beyond that after its 0 - 4 start to the 2025 football season. There are clearly problems with poor execution, some of which were evident well before the current season and were in play when the Demons met the Cats in early May last year and beat them in a near top-of-the-table clash that saw both sides sitting comfortably in the top four after round eight. Since that game, the Demons’ performances have been positively Third World with only five wins in 19 games with a no longer majestic midfield and a dysfunctional forward line that has become too easy for opposing coaches to counter. This is an area of their game that is currently being played out as if they were all completely panic-stricken.

  • PREGAME: Essendon

Facing the very real and daunting prospect of starting the season with five straight losses, the Demons head to South Australia for the annual Gather Round, where they’ll take on the Bombers in search of their first win of the year. Who comes in, and who comes out?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?
