He's trained all season with a mountain of tape. I'd have a pretty simple rule, if you want to train you can't be taped up. Come back when you've fixed it.

Anyway, as a Brown skeptic I'm sad for him but hopeful the Weid gets his chance alongside Jackson and either Fritsch or possibly a ruck/wing/forward McDonald.

The 3 big talls up forward was never going to work.

At any given point, this will exclude more than half the list.

“Following scans on Monday afternoon, it has been decided that we will get the opinion of knee specialist Julian Feller to determine the best course of action,” General Manager of AFL Football Performance Alan Richardson told Melbourne Media.

“The club will be in a position to provide further information following Ben’s consultation on Wednesday.”

As long as it isn’t a new injury, i am not concerned yet.

Sir, i knew nothing about his previous knee concerns, what makes you think it is ok if it is the injury from last season?

I have it from a current AFL coach that recruiting Brown was a mistake, and that given current trends in tactic, we'd be better off without him.

And, no, I'm not going to reveal the sauce. I've already rounded it down to 18 people out of 25 million.

I like this combination...I think it worked well in the few games they played together last year.

Not a big sample size admittedly but good non the less.

The concern is that the injury is from a significant impact (tackle from Blicavs) and whatever surgery they performed hasn't seemed to have had much benefit.

I would hazard a guess and say it's not bursitis so the knee just can't be structurally right in my opinion which means this could be a long recovery period.

I'm guessing it wasn't Goodwin so maybe we can narrow it down to 17...

18? Was it Simon Goodwin?

I hear a rumour that Tmac kicked the [censored] out of him in the showers.

Pickett, Oliver, Smith, Langdon, Salem all need a rest then.

So nothing to do with his knee then?

I’m at panic stations already because of my MFCSS issues let alone the Clarke debacle all of those years ago thrown in on top.
To be fair people did question the trade for a bloke with a knee injury but most (inc me) thought it was fine if we did the trade. ie we did our due diligence.
Fingers crossed for the further review, without him we’re a little fkd.

What? Like Tom Lynch at Richmond you mean?

Kicking those 6 goals has given him a repetitive strain injury.

There was a certain player that Geelong wanted to trade the medical report said don't r recruit this player he won't play many games, that players nam Steve j

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
