Haha fantastic work. One of my wife's go to entrée's. Won't be hoping in the pool in north east Vic... Although if we make finals a cannonball may be on the cards much to the kids delight.

We look great today.

Dry conditions suit our style of play.

Bummer those two losses against Freo and Swans We’re in pouring rain and howling winds.

Opposition who don’t bring intensity & effort suit our style of play.

Much better 2nd quarter. Oliver kicking the ball now and is 100% efficient, viney not trying to take tacklers on and just getting rid of it, fritta kicked a goal and our backline going ok.

Joe Daniher statless

Mitch Brown looks good leading up

Ouch!

they have put the cue in the rack ,demons must win by 10 goals to prove a point

He's really got the yips. He's Ian Baker-Fritsch.

Did you guys know that Stewart and Weideman have a connection to Collingwood?

Fascinating.

ANB having a cracker. He needs consistency. Do this every week son

Yes give him credit for good play. That collect when he was going to get hit and then a lovely goal was great. Stick it up me son and become a good player, I would love it. Now keep going for the second half.

Love watching this - to see us playing with movement, hitting targets, almost everyone contributing.

But Essendon are dreadful. Neeld-esque. Some of their chasing and defensive efforts are embarrassing. We really can't take too much from this game so far.

But I m loving it. Dees thriving. Bombers annihilated.

brown is the missing link forward so glad he is getting a go at it, the weid go at the ball son

I wouldn't be getting too excited just yet.

We should be far more than 28 points up. They are absolutely atrocious. But they are a confidence team and despite their defensive pressure being terrible they're still generating inside 50s and getting some looks. If they get an early goal or two, or worse, if Daniher gets his hands on the ball, we know we can concede goals.

Fritsch's goal kicking is getting worse.

Gawn, Oliver, Petracca, Langdon, Salem and ANB all playing really well.

If this is our last game, Hunt, Brown and ANB are giving the club something to think about.

Win the game and hope Hogan walters and taverner kick 15 goals between them

When Fritta missed the target right n front of goal in the second quarter and the Essendon player ran the ball out just typifies our season to date.

HOPELESS

Also fritta cant kick for [censored]. He needs to learn over the off season or learn in the seconds. Pathetic.

Mitch Brown 13 possessions and 7 marks..  this guy should have been in the team all season, especially ahead of T Mac.

Good pair of hands.

So far so good. I can see why people have been whinging about Viney. As soon as he gets the ball we lose it.

i dont like that hunt is playing a good game coz its so one off and then we'll be asking how he got a new contract again this time next year

Fritsch left his kicking boots in 2018.

Quick, can someone track down that flux capacitor :)

Now just need melbourne to keep on doing what they did in the 2nd quarter. Just bury them.

Seriously daniher not worth 2 round draft picks. He was getting beaten by joel smith.

Roped the dope.

Ess, had the impression after the first, that it was all too easy.

Now to see if ruthlessness is in our game.

We should go on with it and win the next two quarters.

Mids working well, the team finding space, great pressure and tackling.

Liked that we tried a different game plan in the first and then got into our fast style in the second.

Need to be able to switch it up during the quarter.

Had a solid bet on dees over 39.

I hope they don't showboat from here. Should be 3-4:more goals up as it is.

Smash them redlegs

Needs to talk to a psychologist, he is obviously pressuring/stressing, himself into poor kicking. It is a confidence issue.

Sam Weideman handballing to Jayden Hunt for the certain goal is one of the best things I've seen in recent weeks. Weed hasn't kicked a goal in a long time and didn't need to give it. Much respect.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
