I'm trying to fathom why we would play a head to head running game in the third quarter against a strong breeze. I'm sure there's more than that but...boy oh boy

Bog ordinary effort but credit to the Doggies who played the conditions much better.

Our old friend ****ty disposal/ turnover played a top game.

There's a few blokes up for a rest next week you'd reckon, which is now a make or break game.

What have you got Goodie?

Utter disgraceful.

Melksham, Harmes, McDonald,  Hibbo, Fritsch,

All disgraced the jumper.

Goodwin shown up for a poor coach he is. Plan B? Where was that Goody? [censored] clueless as usual.

What a stinker!  They waltzed away from half back, we jogged around the park.  Backline were superb, Kudos to Weideman and Fritsch in the f50.  Beaten comprehensively.  No system to stop them, poor skills (maybe the conditions) and wilted completely under pressure.

Really disappointing across the board, with only a few who can hold their head up.

Kozzie has some spark, but lots of flaws (pushes in the back too much).  COuldnt get near it with any value today.

They need another kick up the bum.  This measures us as a mid table also-ran team.

We played two bottom sides and a severely depleted collingwood on a short break.
We needed to prove ourselves against a good midfield today and we were shown up.

Teams always get us with pressure and run.

We have no answers.

We are not that good.

Death, taxes and Melbourne being found under pressure. Nothing more certain in life.

When the heat is on we fall apart. That is players and that is coaching. I don’t mind wanting to go head to head, but when that very very clearly was not working, did anyone in the box think to make a change?

I am fed up being downhill skiers. This is yet another wasted season. Even if we make finals, we are no chance to beat anyone in the 8, so what is the point?

Sadly Hibbo, Melksham, Pickett, Hannan, Spargo, Harmes and McDonald are just not good enough to be in the 22 right now for a variety of reasons. We got nothing from our star mids, which is an ongoing issue in tough games. And our structure is an absolute joke that falls apart quicker than a house of cards in a tornado.

We are not, the real deal.

Will be a miracle to make finals but we’d only be imposters if we did.

Doggies played very well today; they’re a hot and cold side and today they brought their best.  We weren’t able to match them.

Goodwin that’s why, he always has the team try win shoot outs against the wind opposed to turning it into a bog for a nil nil draw. Absolutely rubbish coaching.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
