Never thought he would leave Essendon, even after the meeting with Tom Harley.  I'm probably being naive there but I just assumed he would play 200 games for them.

At 4 games a season it would only take him another 24 years to get there!

Sydney would've loved him to wait until free agency I bet, Essendon couldn't extend him and are trapped between a rock and hard place and will probably end up getting below his top price.

Ha I love the fact that Joe wants out of bomberland. Of course Id be devastated if Viney ever walked out on us being a father/son pick but Im not sure if Joe really dealt with the father son hype and being the key forward  But essenscum fans are going nuts and yes he is a key forward but one who has been plagued by injuries so he is not worth a top 10 pick.

It will be interesting to see how they get this deal done because they reckon essendon is the hardest club to deal with during trade week.

Hopefully this sets them back years

Why would Sydney want Daniher when they have Buddy for another 3 years at $1M+ per year.

I'm smelling something suspicious.

Will be interesting

AFL said when Buddy went to the Swans instead of the AFL preferred GWS that they would strongly resist any salary cap relief should Buddy not be able to play out his entire contract.

Times change though and AFL want a strong Sydney

how hilarious are Dodoros comments regarding Daniher??  We won't be letting him go?

Like clubs have a say when a big name decides to leave these days.  Joe has pizzed them off good and proper and now Goddard is saying Joe didn't do his rehab well enough

what an arrogant, weak, juvenile club.

Dodoro is bluffing.  His grandstanding is just show for supporters.

Joey is an UFA next year and can walk to Sydney and Ess will get a mid first round  comp pick.

They will take a higher 1st round pick this year if Sydney offer it.  I reckon if they do offer pick 5 they will want something back from Ess.

Too injury prone - not interested.  Let's go for Jamie Elliott. !

Every time I turn on to SEN or Trade Radio they are obsessed with Joe D'.

I suspect this trade won't happen until tomorrow night in Prime time tv on fox footy Trading Day because the AFL have orchastrated holding this back as part of their changed schedule to maximise the drama.

Daniher and Hill will be all the rage tomorrow. Don't expect anything to happen until the deadline for maximum clicks and views.

Today I was just praying that some trade would happen so I wouldn't have to hear about how Eddie Bett's return will have Carlton's soul.

Hilarious!! A Daniher wants out of Essendon. And they want more than 2 top 10 picks! Didn’t I just say a favourite son wants OUT of your drug cheating club.??????

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
