Haven't seen one of these in a while, so I thought I'd throw one in for fun.

Whilst I'd admit that a victory against the Tigers would appear to be unlikely, stranger things have happened in sport.  Is it the mix of players we presently have in?  Is it confidence?  Is it system?  Fitness and work rate?  Or all and the above?

Watching the game last week, in the periods of the first half when we were still the game that we dominated general play, but I felt that we somewhat over used the ball across half forward by hand in an effort to create the perfect forward 50 entry and then subsequently fumbled or otherwise turned it over.  Well doucmented that when entering forward 50, we just couldn't take a mark or find a crumb.  Let's not even bother talking about defense.  However all these problems are fixable, we still have a great midfield and dominate the forward 50 entries for the most part and at some point the worm had got to turn doesn't it?

Anyway if we beat Richmond tonight, I'm having a beer or two in celebration and I'm hoping a few other Demonlanders might join me in that gesture.

GO THE MIGHTY DEMONS!!

Part of me doesn’t even want to go tonight. Feels Like going to see your ex so she can explain more fully why she left.

Fall into a false sense of optimism again.

To counter this, after tonight’s game, regardless of result, I’m not going to another game this year unless we have won our previous 2 going into it.

Will wear a Collingwood scarf at the Anzac Day game tomorrow and buy a Mason Cox and Jeremy Howe badge.

Had to reply,  this is so close to the mark !    Don't really want to watch and TLOML  thinks I am stupid for doing so, but you have to !

but I will go to church with my Mother in Law,  a big ask, but she and my wife will like it and my feet will not be on the ground.

More like so she can kick you in the balls and spit in your face.

Will hold on tight for the white-knuckle ride to see if we can claw together enough wins to still be relevant by mid-season, by which time we'll have Smith, Lever, Vandenberg, Hannan and hopefully May all back. 5 players I'd all want in right now purely on type and role, all of whom would be directly replacing a serious underperformer. Makes the second half of this season a whole different proposition.

OR

If we beat the Tigers tonight, I'd have to believe that we could beat the Hawks next week and the Suns the week after. And then we'd be 4-4 after round 8 and anything is possible again.

Aye, the delusions are back, doctor.

Be jacked off we didn’t do the same last Saturday...

Classic you, SWYL.

In a thread designed for some optimistic happiness, you've managed to find a pessimistic take regardless.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
