FMD.  Nev could have taken an uncontested mark, but he decided to stay back and let it bounce.  I remember a time when he could play...

Frost is an utter moron.

Embarrassing MFC. Embarrassing for this club. Supporters duped again.  Weak weak weak.

On track for an 80 point thumping here.

What key changes do we make for next week to try and save our season?

Worst club in the league atm.

May is a joke lol. Our forward line is dysfunctional.

Don't panic. It's just the JLT.

Sack Goodwin.  Everything that's gone wrong was blindingly obvious last season and he did nothing to fix it.

I’m not sure he is even vfl quality. He is not a footballer

[censored] me. These umpires are sticking the boots in.

And if Goody seeks clarification this week it happens again.

Players in blue and white striped jumper = umpire pets. Disgrace.

Why do we bother

I don't think we do....

Trade out our power forward for unders.

kick 1 goal in a half of footy. Well played Mahoney.

That is illegal disposal and the 100 Geelong have done are not?

Sad’s me with the big post saying how they were striving for 50,000 member this year. All the new members who signed up after the promise of 2018. Seems like 2007 all over again. I remember being one of the favourites to take the cup at the start of that year too

Come on boys... Don't drop the head now. Dig deep and take something into next week.

I'm still a lot happier than I was last week. Oliver, Brayshaw and Viney look way better than last week.

Our list is nowhere near as deep as we thought.

Remember last year where we had Hannan, Kent, Garlett and Spargo competing for that fwd position? Or the luxury of playing Hogan for stints in the midfield? Or TMac starting on the wing to start the match?

Wow.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
