Did we ever find out what lecras did to get nev so bloody angry on the siren? Just watched the replay and nev was absolutely filthy

Good question. I recall thinking at the time, there's only 1 thing Lecras could've said to fire Nev up like that, so hoping he didn't go down that path. Given it's the West Coast Eagles, we know they play by different rules, so it could've been literally anything.

I really wish people wouldn't jump to that conclusion every time an indigenous player was involved in a fracas.

Having said that, it was strange to see Nev so angry. Would be interested to know exactly what the problem was.

I was mentally  punching LeCras in the side of the head every time nev gave him a jumper punch.

It’s very rare to see any player reacting like that- especially after the siren.  There was no arguing, just anger.

He told him he sucked at Fortnite. Jetta responded by saying he's an adult and that he plays Dota and that Fornite is for little kids. Lecras then said Dota sucks. Cue fight.

I'm 34 and i'm sure I have seen Lecras running around the Map. Ducking like he does on the footy field.

I take Lecras to be a Hanzo main tbh.

Who knows what happened. One thing is certain, Jetta is a gun who took Le Cras to the cleaners and Le Cras is a whinging biatch.

Agreed, and normally I wouldn't, it just had an un-Nev feel about it.

I don’t think it’s race related because Nev doesn’t seem to be the kind who would leave racism on the field.

Probably nothing more than some nasty sledging.

The last play of the game was Neville crunching Lecras into the ground during a marking contest.
Lecras probably returned serve after the siren and they agreed to disagree.

I have it on first hand knowledge that it was a disagreement about the principles of Hegelian philosophy. The sticking point was something to do with rationalism vs absolute idealism and they eventually came to blows overs the concept of sublation. They'd been at it all day and eventually the Frenchman cracked it because Nev had refuted his point using a solipsism.

Yes... this is closest to the pin for mine! I thought I saw Nev making a backward elbow motion when explaining to one of the other players as they walked off. My guess is that Lecras was dirty on the tackle, and pizzed because the umpire did not award a mark or an 'after the bell' free. I suggest Lecras gave a sneaky high elbow to Nev's ear and the rest is as viewed by the masses. Why Lercras insisted on getting in Nev's face after he could see our man was livid is beyond reason!

Le Cras was actually trying to leave, Nev wouldn't let go of his jumper.

Always good to argue a free kick that will have no bearing on the outcome

Good point, fair to rule it out on that basis.

Maybe Nev wanted to know if they were going to renew Lecroix's contract....

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
