We need outside run and pace. Has to be our priority at the end of year trade period. Gaff is the obvious candidate.

So, of the mature inside Mids in free agency, would you have Murphy first, or Sloane ?

I dont think of Murphy as a pure inside mid. I think he is quite rounded.

I dont think we hunt him, but if we miss out on gaff and he was quite cheap I wouldn't say no.

I'm sorry but Gaff is not quick. if you ask any WCE supporters they wanted him dropped last season. He was pathetic. It's often the case that the club he is playing at know him the best. Having a stellar season but I saw too much of him last season to change my mind.

I"ve been watching Gaff, doing a bit more inside work out of necessity, but whole team is playing well

Went missing last couple of years when it was tough going, he is a downhill skier

Normal wettin of pants on here when a player gets a bit of media attention

The only thing more certain than death and taxes is that you will wet your pants at preseason training should Gaff come to MFC

I say no to Carlton hacks no matter what price but yes please to Gaff he is a gun.

Couple of selfies, soccer questions, ass pics from training and maybe even a video tribute when he plays a milestone game.

Nothing more certain.

We have two small mids who are guns (Viney and Jones).  We cant fit Murphy in too.

Spargo will develop into a fine mid to take the Jones role.

Bolding that part for future reference if he comes to the MFC.

Will be interesting to see if you accost him at training and tell him hes a downhill skiier - I am guessing you won't.

Murphy has had a good career. However, a 31 year old who can’t get on the park is of no use to us.

Next.

Careful dazzle, ass talk like that will get @Bitter but optimistic sniffing around

We have Spargo, the new and improved Murphy 2.0, with 10+ years as a Dee ahead of him. Why bother with 30 year old 1.0 version?

I'd prefer R.P.MacMurphy.

I have an opinion on players, not a fan of Gaff, if we sign him,  hope not, will support him like I do all MFC players.

Contrary to popular belief, don't gush at players, just chat to them on a number of subject

Last conversation was with Nut Harmes on daschunds

As for Murphy?  would be amazed if we even asked

@dazzledavey36 Chunk liked the video, so an opinion of a faux tough guy doesn't really matter

Based on this he will win the Bluey 3 years in a row from next season.

Putting Murphy on our list would be an act of extreme stupidity.

Subject to medical and the right money I think Murphy would be a fantastic fit for us. We are brimming with big bodied inside midfielders and desperately lack outside class.

We don't have a first round pick so it's not like we can add an Oliver Florent mid or Ed Richards half back flanker.

Even if Murphy was managed through 15 games a season I'd prefer him on the list to half a dozen of the spuds we have running around at Casey or perpetually clogging the injury list.

People who laugh at Murphy ought to name some alternative pace that we can get for nothing. David Mackay? Gaff is run all day on the outside fast. He's not burst away from a stoppage fast.

Can we sub contract the Richmond medical staff to do the medical considering Marc’s foot problems this year

Hes about  cooked 13 or 14 post season operations. And a bit soft when the heat is applied

I’m sure you’ll let him in on your opinion next year when you’re annoying him at Gosch’s.

Mate I live in WA and that is nonsense. There was a period around 14 & 15 when teams stopped runningwith Priddis and started putting work into the outsiders in Shuey and Gaff.

So not any Meth Coast fan wantedchim dropped last season. Many complained about him being to outside but he is hardly a one season wonder

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
