  • Everyone has down weeks.josh Jenkins has one every week1f602.png?I'm at the stage where I can only laugh at his selection each week.
    Potential doesn't win premierships
  • Injuries are one thing but still it was 22 vs 22 there was no heart there whatsoever absolutely disgusting performance we should worry less about posting levers stats and which draft pick we are gonna get from Melbourne (re early this year) and worry about our own team
  • Unfortunately into the first 4 minutes of the game you knew they would be thrashed. Looked like they hadn't slept all night and came out as if they weren't even trying. Just like the Grand Final. Very lethargic xx.
  • Can't say it wasn't unexpected... end of day Melbourne are finally a seriously good footy side. We are average...clearly making up the numbers this year.
  • If we were going to lose a game glad it was Melbourne love there coach Goodwin he was one of our own early days long way to go we will come back bad day at the office we all have them
  • Make them [censored] walk home. No [censored] pride in this club any more.
  • Looked like a training drill for Melbourne.
  • Not a good day, I can't see Sloane and lynch staying either. I reckon their gone
  • I shake my head every time I see Jenkins efforts
  • The useless coach who had no Plan B and decided to just STARE at the players...?? Like Pykey, they can't read your mind mate.
  • Nothing like dropping from 4th to 7th and losing almost 16% dishing up that 1f4a9.png?
  • It's 3 poor games. We need more Victorians.
  • Playing with a B grade side and Melbourne had it's A side. Move on.
  • Might as well support Melbourne enough of our players are with then
  • Lever was the big winner today
  • I have said all along that Pyke is a “B” grade version of Neil Craig.
  • Doesn’t help that we have our reserves playing against a full strength Melbourne team.
  • On the upside, looks like the stare is back in vogue. On ya Pykey, inspiring stuff.
  • Premiership pretenders again
  • Maybe a [censored] play on our behalf but [censored] the umpires are playing for Melbourne today.

Omg

The biggest downhill skier and cheap goal over the back player this side of the new millenium.

Some Adelaide todger on Big Footy wrote that if the Crows had their best 22 that they would have won by 12 goals. That's a difference of 27 goals from today's outcome.

I actually thought that eyeballing his players at 3QT was really effective. More effective than Bolton losing his [censored] and yelling. Players at least responded.

To be fair, that's pretty funny

Maybe. What if the Crows had their best 22. They probably would have did a bit better, maybe even a lot better. But we trounced them today, and they were smashed all over the ground. I have always believed we had a better list than GWS, and we would eventually click. That is happening now. Adelaide would have gotten closer with a full list. But our current list is trending upwards, and rapidly. Brayshaw, Salem, Petracca, Hannan, ANB, Oliver, have all improved this year and its showing. We have added Fritsch and Spargo and its complimenting our side beautifully. The improvement of those lads is down to our coaching staff, and especially our coach. Personally, I have been a knock on Goodwin because I would not touch anyone who has anything to do with James Hird, but that aside, Simon Goodwin is getting the best out of this list. On a day like today I think that stings Crows fans. They are hurting. Throw Lever's last few weeks on top of that and Crows fan's are now in a place where they aren't thinking straight. It is all too much for them IMO.

How about Bruce’s “Eddie is in fine form, he is just not getting enough of it”.  Trying to blow smoke up a frozen Ahrse-hole with that one.

'Apparently lever walked past the 5aa box after the game and had a chuckle and gave them a 'signal'. What a dead set [censored].'

LOL keep up the great work Jakey.

Whatever - but they still had 14 (I believe) of last year's GF side, plus Gibbs and Ellis-Yolman, plus Doedoo who's supposed to be the second coming.

Tex did open his big mouth at the bottom of his empty head and now what he said so philosophically is back, biting his enormous bum. He'd be lucky to retain the captaincy, let alone get a game again this year.Touche, Dees.

i for one can't wait for doedee to be targeted by the cats to replace their ageing defenders at the end of 2019

cats love to recruit former falcons boys and get them to go back 'home'

Wasn't intended as a critique of Pyke, SBF. Just a witty aside after a convincing win ;)

FWIW, I didn't mind the silent treatment from Pyke either

They're problem is the same as ours, traditionally.   A common like of bathwater, when things are just dishy.

A certain way to give a club a decent upset gut for about 4 months on the Trotski.

Lets not do, what they're doing, and get a head of ones self.    keepin the lid on the bin, stayin humble, and appreciating the good times.

When we played the crows at Adelaide oval last year, that was the most true  reflection on how the two sides match up together we beat them by 40 points both sides were at full strength.

  • CASEY: Geelong

There was a time in the second quarter of the game at the Cattery on Friday afternoon when the Casey Demons threatened to take the game apart against the Cats. The Demons had been well on top early but were struggling to convert their ascendancy over the ground until Tom Fullarton’s burst of three goals in the space of eight minutes on the way to a five goal haul and his best game for the club since arriving from Brisbane at the end of 2023. He was leading, marking and otherwise giving his opponents a merry dance as Casey grabbed a three goal lead in the blink of an eye. Fullarton has now kicked ten goals in Casey’s three matches and, with Melbourne’s forward conversion woes, he is definitely in with a chance to get his first game with the club in next week’s Gather Round in Adelaide. Despite the tall forward’s efforts - he finished with 19 disposals and eight marks and had four hit outs as back up to Will Verrall in the second half - it wasn’t enough as Geelong reigned in the lead through persistent attacks and eventually clawed their way to the lead early in the last and held it till they achieved the end aim of victory.

  • REPORT: Geelong

I was disappointed to hear Goody say at his post match presser after the team’s 39 point defeat against Geelong that "we're getting high quality entry, just poor execution" because Melbourne’s problems extend far beyond that after its 0 - 4 start to the 2025 football season. There are clearly problems with poor execution, some of which were evident well before the current season and were in play when the Demons met the Cats in early May last year and beat them in a near top-of-the-table clash that saw both sides sitting comfortably in the top four after round eight. Since that game, the Demons’ performances have been positively Third World with only five wins in 19 games with a no longer majestic midfield and a dysfunctional forward line that has become too easy for opposing coaches to counter. This is an area of their game that is currently being played out as if they were all completely panic-stricken.

  • PREGAME: Essendon

Facing the very real and daunting prospect of starting the season with five straight losses, the Demons head to South Australia for the annual Gather Round, where they’ll take on the Bombers in search of their first win of the year. Who comes in, and who comes out?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?
