If we lose to Essendon

Featured Replies

I’ll not bother watching another live game until we win one and then I might bother with a replay.

A heavy loss to the Bombers would be devastating for the Club, players, sponsors and us supporters.

And I’d like to send a big FU to the media who made us out to be the next big thing all off season.

I'll give away my membership.

Season over if we lose to Essendon an honourable loss won't be good enough and it will be another wasted year.

If we lose to Essendon I’ll drink. A lot.

If we lose. 2 wins 4 losses. Still to play top teams in Swans, Eagles away, Giants, crows twice, Cats, power away. That’s 7 more losses and probably 5 losses at best.

Hard to see us 14/8 record. More likely 11/11 and that’s 10th/11th.

If we lose to Essendon our new sponsor is going to do really well Sunday night. Might even do well if we win.

Similar position to last year. We had just lost 3 in a row (Geelong, Freo and Richmond) and we just had to beat Essendon. Thankfully Danniher couldn't kick the side of a barn that day and we ran over the top of them in the second half. Watts and Petracca both kicked 4 that day. If Hurley or Hooker nullify Hogan, I just can't see us winning.

Essendon are rabble...

Going to be a close game lol

Sunday is do or die. They just put up the live ladder and it will be 13th v 14th. We have to win. That is it

Perfect for the 1.10pm Sunday time slot.

We can't lose to this mob surely.

Thanks....mockers ...lol

If we can keep Daniher in his current rut we will most likely win.

Our game plan is much better suited to Etihad (as it is 20m narrow than the MCG) so its much harder for a team to find an outside player from a stoppage and stream forward.

We have had good success at Etihad and we find it easier to defend.

It may well be a Bradbury game - last team standing depending on when the fatigue of a short break sets in.   I think we will win!

If we lose to Essendon I think finals are off the cards for 2018. We’re a quarter of the season down and we’re a rabble at the moment. We’ve had a good run of games in Melbourne and are yet to play a number of top teams or travel. What a horribly disappointment this season is turning into.

You think I’d get used to it after following this loser club for decades, yet here I am getting disappointed still!

If we lose to those #^*@ wits i will not bother to go to any more matches until this club starts to show they know how to win games.

Just watched the pies dons game and it made me want to change to pies

beyond that telling admission, I hope that someone (anyone) from the MFC FD watched because it showed how to [censored] the EFC (I can't remember the last time we won by 60pts). No doubt though everyone from the MFC was at a johnny walker promo party laughing at our improvement .

Of course it all turns on us actually kicking goals

I'll tear up my MFC/MCC Supporter Membership that doesn't include game day access. ?

God I absolutely hate the Bombers and their arrogant self-entitled supporters. Watch Joe Daniher TURN IT ON against us!

The only silver lining of us losing will be that it might force a significant change in this club of perpetual F-ups.

If we lose to essenscum and then the saints it is all over. Adelaide will be laughing at us.

The whole comp is at the moment. We all know what it will take to stop the sniggering, but we are rock bottom in form and confidence.

I actually see the Druggies winning this one.

What will i do?.... I will ask the person in charge of my roster to find me shifts on all the Saturdays/Sundays i decided to take off to watch my miserable club play footy. Might as well get time and a half and ignore our stinkfests. I will drink less, stress less, and have more money in the bank.

Massive game for both teams, so I’d expect a big response from the Bombers. We need to be prepared to run this game out better than them, we’ve got the extra day and they also had to play much of today two men down.

As for what I’ll do we lose, I’ll just give up on this year. Doesn’t sound like much but I feel like this was a year for us to move forward past our horrific recent history. We will be a laughing stock if this year is a bust.

I would hate to be an administrator at the MFC! Poor sods who have to look after sponsors, get new sponsors, etc etc.  It must be a nightmare for our behind the scenes team trying to keep this club financially afloat!

If we lose to bummers it’s curtains!  Membership will again grind to a halt.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
