You guys need to relax lol

Just heard the Old v New version of the Richmond song on Triple M, there was literally no difference, maybe slightly higher clarity for the digital age

Ya'll need to take a chill pill

You're new here so maybe you haven't heard that us Demonlander's have built up a strong immunity to chill pills.

WE FREAK OUT ABOUT EVERYTHING. WE'VE EARNED THE RIGHT. :P

That was great .... the Lou Richards cameo at the end was very special

Will admit the Lou cameo was good  but there was also plenty of grade A cheese in there too. The Freo boot scooters (as mentioned), the Bulldogs ballroom waltz and the Richmond rap were bloody appalling. Freo's song is bad enough so that was no great loss. But why ruin  what is easily the best club song in the league with that dreck?

the Bulldogs waltz was perhaps a play on where the song came from... Sons of the Sea which was a popular music hall song

I agree the Tiger rap was really bad

A couple of the old blokes have soiled their underwear and you have made their nurses very upset - some of them are going to need more than chill pills

I for one will be starting a thread to ban the recommendation of said chill pills.

That is horrible. Why change it if you aren’t actually going to change it.

It sounds like a crappy midi file with lyrics.

To be fair Triple M probably don't have the original file

Not a fan.

It's subtle, but none of the new versions seem as strong as the old.

If I was a Hawthorn or Bulldogs fan I'd be doubly annoyed as their versions smack of weakness.  There's something way too nice about them.

Who remembers the B side : "The Footy Song"  ?

It's pretty sad, but I remember it word for word.

"When the football season comes around again,

And the fans are swarming to the grounds again,

There's a kind of fever that keep us on our toes,

Hear the fans are roaring, as the whistle blows!

Low is scoring and your team's behind, still you never throw in the glove,

Because its football season, and that's the reason its the time of the year that we love."

Sorry, never heard of it

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
