From Chris Scott on AFL360, Dangerfield is still a chance and Ablett will play.

Good. I hope they both break down early in the 2nd Quarter.

If they play, they are fair game.

Run the bastards as hard as possible...

BANG!

Geez that will be fun we have Viney and Oliver out possibly and they have dumbwood, danger and Ablett in possibly.

Awesome!

If we are worrying about ins and outs at this stage, you can give up on finals.

We played our best footy last year with no Hogan and Viney.

Fxxk Geelong, I think we can win this.

Just would have been nice for us to be at full strength too but take onboard what u r saying faulty.

Would be a massive win if we can get it considering all our outs.

Saw earlier odds in the day and we were favourites, but even evens makes me worry :)

I’m not disagreeing with you Sigil, but at some point if we’re going to win a flag soon we must be favourites in games like these and deliver a result accordingly.

In the past our best games were always as the underdogs. Part of our mental fragility has been in not being able to perform as favourites. If we're going to push for finals or top 4 or the big dance then we have to break the shakles of not being able to win when we're expected too and also being favourites against the "strong" teams and getting the job done.

Who fuggin cares.

Just bounce the ball.

I’m not worried about either of those blokes in relation to us being a competitive and worthy side of making finals.

All this hype?

We’re in the ballpark guys.

I won't believe it until he's announced to play 90 minutes before the game when the final team list is in.

For the record, they're crazy to play him, especially with Ablett going in with no match practice as well.  I actually think it works in our favour to have them playing blokes who aren't 100%.

Agree with that - Ablett must be underdone and Danger well that's a massive risk - They must be worried !!

Worry about who we have got and not who we haven't.

Have a red hot crack at the 22 in front of you. The FD will have a game plan firmly in place by now covering all possible Cats in and out.

Up to our 22 boys named

So much talk of their midfield but without Henderson and recent retirements Geelong's defence is poor

Possible line up:

Stewart   Taylor   Jones

Tuohy    Kolodjashnj   Bews

If we break even in the middle we should win this.  If Hogan is on Taylor it will be worth getting Hogan on his bike around the ground and out to the wings.  Pedo and Trac should be able to dominate in the air if we get it in quick

Quite a likely outcome, SWYL. We must run those two into the ground accompanied by a few hard bodies assisting along the way. I still have dreams of another 'weekend with Bernie' for Dangersmelled, and for Ablett, a run-in with Pedo at full bore....

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

Once again inaccuracy and inefficiency going inside 50 rears it's ugly head as the Demons suffered their second loss on the trot and their fourth loss in five games as they go down to the Pies by 38 points on Kings Birthday at the MCG.

    GAMEDAY: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag
