Good chance in 10 games, going to have to  have to win three tough ones to perform better than this year.

Etihad games might tell the story.

I don’t mind the Sunday games as I work most Friday nights and don’t finish till 7am on Saturday morning so by the time I have a sleep then travel from Ballarat I don’t go to many Saturday games, so sundays are perfect for me

The current poll numbers are a journalist's delight. The following two statements are both correct:

"Fewer than half of Demons' supporters believe it's a bad draw for their team."

and

"Fewer than half of Demons' supporters believe it's a good draw for their team."

"Dees supporters indifferent on team's draw"

'Fewer than half of Melbourne supporters believe their team has a good 2018 draw, with some claiming it's a 'financial disasters' while others bemoan the club's two sold home games in NT as reason for fewer MCG games and only one Friday night game."

It would be factual regardless.

For different reasons but I agree with you brendan.

When we asked a few years ago why we don't get Friday Home games, the AFL told us we had to bring in crowds and win games.  We're now doing both of those things and we still don't get a single Friday Home Game.  And how do they justify Carlton's dream draw?  Well, they have a lot of talent, and they might click and produce some really good football...

Much bigger picture in play here. Carlton need to be secured financially for a shot at the 3rd stadium deal.

And ironically contrary to popular belief if the AFL is ever going to merge teams again it will not make the mistake of merging two weak teams ie Lions & Bears.

Next merger will be a strong financial team and a weaker financial team or better known as a takeover.

Financially, not a good draw or as good as it well might have been. We have the 'G and so, it is up to us to attend en masse. This should occur as it is widely considered that the Dees will have a better season in 2018 and with that momentum, more members and supporters will attend games - even those non-supporter crowd numbers will come in droves because they want to see the mighty Dees do well all the way into September. Have faith folks, we are going into the big-time at last.

I'm completely indifferent.  One or two average to good seasons are not enough to win back the attention of the AFL when it comes to the draw, and regardless of how we have been allocated games, if we are to be a grand final team, then we need to win games no matter when and where.  If I have one complaint, that is that we Sydney based supporters have been shafted far too many times over the past decade or so - the AFL seeming to think that the ACT is just a leisurely drive down the road.

Could not agree more with the AFL/Sydney/Canberra point, hardtack. My son, based in Sydney, feels the very same but is fortunate to drive to Melbourne often across the season(s) to watch his Demons play. You are correct, it does not matter where nor when, we must win, win, win regardless of difficulties, travel and home crowd bias. For example, the 2017 game against the Crows at Adel Oval was an example of the resolve that we must show week in, week out.

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits. Thankfully, the offseason has recharged me, and I’m back—ready t
