Cotchin out?

When I first saw it I thought no chance he will be rubbed out.

But the replay looks like he goes the man as well as the ball and clearly collects shiel in the head resulting in concussion.

Poor record can't afford a fine I think he needs to go for that...

Grand final or not the rules shouldn't change

Contesting the ball as he's entitled to do, Jack Viney cleared on appeal for exact same thing, no case to answer against West Coast exact same thing.

Viney would be rubbed out now..just saying

Has our game become so crazy that a player can be suspended for attempting to bump his opponent? Forget the precedents, fines, mrp etc, it's all crap and absolute over-policing of the game imo

Forget logic and reason RTG. He's a Richmond [censored] so I hope he gets life.

The poster confused me by saying Viney did the exact same thing.

Very different, Viney was upright and Lynch dropped into him.

Cotchin accelerated, braced for a bump and basically dived causing injury.

What I was saying is that the contact was in the act of contesting the ball which is allowed.

I think it matters. For a player to miss a potential grand final for that is unforgiveable. It's plain wrong. The current law is an ass.

think I agree...but it IS the rule and too many precedents THIS year to ignore it...

I love Cothcin's attack on the ball that maximises the physical impact on his opponent. Footy at its best. I hope he does not get rubbed out but the current climate is harsh on these types of incidents.

They tend to turn a blind eye for GF ( refer B.Hall)

Safe but lucky I reckon.

( Head sacrosanct etc ,will be forgotten in true AFL , frustrating style)

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
