Umpires get the 4 points for that game. No love for either side but geez 27-18 free kick differential. Horrendous.

Show where it is written that free kicks need to be shared equally.

Geelong won that game because Richmond's plan of going small in the forward line didn't work out today, Henderson and Lonergan marked everything that came their way today.

Why didn't Gold Coast wait to sack Eade after this weeks round? The commitment they are showing early would have been handy next week against Essendrug.

Tonight I will barrack harder for another team (Crows) than I have ever done before.

Lol, if Bombers were to win tonight, how much more would we need to win by to make up the 2.5%?

Lets not even think of that scenario.

Essendrug must not make the finals, it can not happen, it should not happen.

Cats also won because scott didnt allow rance to be 3rd man up. Taylor held him accountable and did well.

He should be on Chunnel 7 he's that useless. He's surprised at least 10 times a week by umpiring decisions that are perfectly fine.

Great point, Taylor was almost BOG I'd say.

Yay Gold Cost Sums running the Lions into nice form so they won't be an easy beat for us next week.

Not that any of this comment will matter if we don't beat the saints tomorrow.

Hardwick is all smiles lately because they are near the top of the ladder.

But he is still a sore loser.

If the frees count doesn't improve watch him have a big whinge at the end of the game!

As noted, Hardwick was right on cue!

"The home crowd gets behind them. Have a look at the free kick count," Hardwick said after the game.  http://www.afl.com.au/news/2017-08-12/look-at-the-free-kick-count-hardwick-unhappy...He said crowd noise played a part in whether the whistle was blown, and acknowledged it happened everywhere."

They have 13 wins largely because of their easy draw vs lowly teams and only 3 wins were vs current top 8 teams!  Their season is a big improvement on 2016 bit It will not be a happy ending for the tiger army!

Watch them go out in stratight sets.

my sense of deja vu is returning

Win tomorrow...get beaten in the "easy one" by the Lions and then get pummeled by Collingwood in the irrelevant game

Shades of the end to our 2016 campaign

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
