Tommy Bugg on report

Gipsy Danger

Recommended Posts

Have never really warmed to Bugg, but am not going to hang him on one offence.

That said, he deserves at least six weeks for the biggest dog act I have seen since Hall belted Staker. Disgusted with him.

Well Mickey..did you see the provocation? didya ?

Bugg did stuff up yes ? He collected Mills a beauty...most deserved.  I bet most folk couldn't whack a bloke as well if they TRIED !!

It just happened ffs. The Spanish Inquisition probably isn't required ?

If you think Mills deserved than you have no idea.

You've gone from 'he didn't mean to and couldn't do it again if he tried' to 'Mills deserved it.'

I'm done arguing with you. Everyone can see it but you. Have a think about that

Gee.. someone clocked on the chin...goes down. Out for the game

Must be weak as plss !!! :rolleyes:

Good get BB

We could have had the moral high ground

May be rectified by Buggs statement.

Admits stupid act unstated that head is sacrosanct

Apologised to player and family and those in the club.

The cheap shot is not the way we want to be defined, I'm happy with that.

I think you did just that with your next sentence.

Disagree.

he deserves what he will get, about six weeks. He won't disagree that this will be fair, no sane person would. Am not calling for us to fire him or to never give him a chance to play for the red and blue again.

WTF are you on about?

Even if Mills was annoying him, Bugg does that to every player he goes near on a field. If he can't deal with whatever Mills was doing without resorting to punching him in the head, he shouldn't play AFL again.

That was a dog act and he deserves 4+ weeks.

My Swans mate reckons Bugg should get Tony Abbott to give him a character reference!

That would work like a charm - not!

I hear Cardinal Pell will be in Melbourne for some business. Maybe he could swing by the Tribunal to speak some words of Bugg.

When you play the bad guy like Bugg does, it will never end well. You can take the Bugg out of Gembrook but Caulfield Grammar can't take the Gembrook out of the Bugg.

Rod Grinter did that every week.

Times have sure changed.

Bugg will do his time and earn his spot back in the side

Every week? What bs. Wannabe excuse.

So what's the point of relevance to Grinter? Like comparing apples and oranges.

Bugg should get 5-6.  Weeks where we needed him. That's all that matters.

The point is. Rod did his time and is still revered at the club

Tom Bugg will do his time, but many want his tenure terminated

times have changed a lot

Bit difference saying this to saying BS like he did it every week, and in '88 the ball was very much in play.

unlike you, he wasn't a sniper.

Balls used to belt people every week. It was part of his game

he could also play.

Injuries are the major factor. We have been struck down severely this season. Far more than most.

But depth is also an issue. I have found it bizarre reading comments regarding how much "depth" WE actually have. We certainly don't have enough. It definitely doesn't require an internal review. Mahoney and T. Viney are doing an excellent job. It's just where we are at during this building process. We must remember we have a young a list, and a very promising one at that. We have a good future ahead and I am 100% confident with the current support staff (and that's saying something regarding previous staff members).

Rod did not do that "every week". To claim so is a simply a romantic lie.

Yes, it is not the 80's. Apart from that your post is bordering on an excuse for Bugg's action WYL.

Stop looking for comparisons that are irrelevant except for the club and the game. Otherwise we'll be going back needlessly 150 years to find a 'winner'

We need Bugg. He'll be out maybe 4-6 weeks for nadda.

Or is it now ok for us to get a reference from the pm or a cleb?

I am not excusing Bugg's actions at all

4-5 weeks is what he will get

But i don't want to sack him and burn him at the stake either

God you make up some tripe at times

You just don't want to remember.

Most games in the 80's had a single camera coverage provided by the TV News crews.

Players belted each other all the time off the ball, some got caught

bugg is fool for what he did, but don't change history

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
