Too bad St Kilda own their pick, what a gift it will be for them.  Hopefully they pick another McCartin.

I would be very worried if they still haven't won a game when we play them in a few weeks.

They are cooked and dead, but i get what you mean

Cyril Riolo seems to be struggling this season. I wonder if he needs a fresh start elsewhere to re-ignite his passion.

Maybe Lewis could get in his ear and the Hawks would be keen to part ways to start their rebuild.

I feel really sorry for O'Meara and Mitchell, who would have already cleared a spot on the mantle piece to put their cheap premiership spoils.

Nah, not really.

I think they need a re build and will probably trade a couple of players at years end.

Poor Chip will have to live through another rebuild. Fortunately his staying power and leadership qualities will see the Hawks right.

Observation: Loved his little tanty as Hawkins marked just before he kicked his 3rd goal.

I don't like the Cats but seeing the Hawks get dismembered in that last quarter was pure fkn' art.

Not sure who they'll trade, but you would think at least two of Hodge, Burgoyne and Gibson will call it quits at the end of the year.  Their list as a whole is looking light on for talent, especially in the key position areas, and after this year they will see even more experience disappear from the list.

I don't feel sorry for them in the slightest, but it was inevitable that they would take a fall after 4 flags.

And get a bag of chips for them, surely?

They might get something for Poppy, Breust, Sicily, Rioli and Smith, but they can't expect too much. Rioli is almost 28 and Smith is almost 29. They might have to package them to get a first rounder this year, but they really have no room for error with their recruiting over the next few years.

It makes me very happy to say they're in for some pain. Desperately got to use this time to convert the missus.

The question should probably be did they overrate the guys they currently have on their list? Surely, O'Meara and Mitchell were never going to compensate for the loss in experience of Mitchell and Lewis.

You've gotta say Clarkson's either misread it massively or his arrogance got the better of him. Neither scenario looks upon him favourably, but I doubt he'll be at the Hawks much longer. I hope he doesn't make his way to Collingwood.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
