Kennedy won't be gone, but Grimes, Garland and Dunn should be. Trengove's finished as well.

I think this says a little bit about the Bulldogs game plan and ours. We're going to need quite a few more gears. It's like watching Melbourne being opened up.

This. A deadset replica of the two St.Kilda games at Etihad. We, meaning Casey AND Melbourne are horribly lacking when the opposition combines pressure and speed of ball use. It's going to be our biggest obstacle in the coming years, and needs a serious strategy change.

Looking to our future, not much to get excited about other than Oliver, Weid and J. Smith. Plenty of effort and good tackling by the rest, but poor disposal and no speed is the reason why most are playing at Casey.

Righto then.

Y'know Nasher, I think he might have missed the detail that all the kids have been in the firsts and Casey is mostly our older players. :roos:

Time for a big clean out, 16 Melbourne listed players playing today, at least half of them should be gone this off season.

when a team with Dunn, Garland, Trengove and Grimes can't show leadership at VFL level it really shows how far off our side has been for such a long time

Well there's a dose of reality. A number of players have damaged their reputations considerably. ANB has barely been sighted, neither has Michie, Newton has been terrible and Grimes and Trengove should now probably give it away.

Too many players from the 'mentally scarred' days:  Dunn, Terlich, Grimes, Garland, Trengove, Spencer, Jones falling into old bad habits.  No fight. No coming back now.

I never bag our players but I can no longer stick up for those guys.

Yep, if you can't find the run and spread as well as the inside clearances you are toast at both AFL and VFL level. Been that way for a few years now. Doggies have a great balance here.

Minson has killed Spencil. McInerny isn't up to this level to help out either. Our 3 talls in Spencil, McInerny and Weeds (first half excluded) have been unable to impact. Their talls have had a say.

To be fair on Weeds, it hasn't been down there.

If Footscray get too up themselves in this last quarter I think I might be going for Sydney next week.

It's going to be a long week, but we just have dished up a lack of effort in the 3rd quarter.. 8 goals to none is just insipid.

Never been fond of the dishlickers.

i wonder if apart from different players a new batch of diet, training and Medical staff are required as well, to give us that edge in the last quarters of intense games like yesterday for arguments sake.

Clearly the Bulldogs, who all train together know each other's game. They are young and quick with good disposal skill and  are showing us why you don't hang on to slow, skilless players.

Goodwin and Taylor should have put the red line through several of our players.

I now think we will make more changes to the list than many thought.

My decade long hobby horses, pace and skill, have been badly shown up in our side today.

The only player on the ground for Casey who looks AFL is Clayton Oliver. The rest played the third quarter like a bunch of girls.

Hey don't bring our Womens team into this comparison! Doing ok, although even they got beaten by the Doggies

Dogs list is unbelievable.

They're the most well balanced list within the AFL surely with their players and game style perfectly suited to modern day footy.

With the amount of MFC listed players we have, it's clear we're still a way off.

Absolutely must inject some more speed and kicking skills to our list over the next few drafts.

You're either watching a replay from a few weeks ago, or a ----head.

If this the link you followed for the game? http://www.afl.com.au/video/2016-09-03/womens-highlights-wb-v-melb

If not, grow up.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
