I'm switching off. I thought we were passed these 100 point losses. Really poor end to an otherwise promising build this year. These last two weeks have killed our momentum going into preseason and are a disrespect to the hard work Roos has put in the last 3 years. Players have laid half the amount of tackles as Geelong today yet can't get their hands on the ball! That's all work rate and guys not giving a stuff. Really disappointing.

It's not killing any momentum as we know we can compete when we come to play.

But yes its disrespectful to Roo's and the members/supporters.

Won't miss Paul Roos game style. The player have no idea how to play after 3 years.

How ow difficult was it to get a hawthorn assistant 3 years ago.

This will also cost us currency in terms of trying to attract quality players to the club. More proof that our players just don't want to compete at the level that is required in this competition.

It's fair to say we've checked out.  It's highly disappointing, but let's take a breath for a second.  We are still the youngest side of the round and we've worked hard ALL season.  Coming in to the final round with nothing to play for, while the other team is potentially Grand Final bound (which makes me vomit at the thought), and this is what we get.  Again, it's disappointing, but let's have some perspective for a second.

The one highlight so far is Salem.  He's been terrific.  Another good pre-season and he will be a seriously good player for us.

Hopefully we can break even in the second half, but don't allow a game like this to cloud what has been a successful season for us.  You'd be stupid to do it.

Oh well. Shame to finish off in this fashion but it's still been a good season of progress.

Hopefully we can lift in the second half and get some respectability back in the scoreboard.

Good way to start the pre-season. Will be good to know that everybody's full of confidence...

I applaud Roos and what he's done for the club, but unfortunately, I'm not going to miss him in the coaches box. Nothing seems to be working.

Roos: "Look, boys, ahhh...I'm still here, you know.  I knew you and Goodsy had something planned but, man, wow.  I'm speechless.  Honestly.  You should see the coaches box, it's teeming with kleenex tissues."

Viney: "Are they sad tissues...or happy tissues?"

Roos (to Simon): "F#$% sake, get me on a plane to Hawaii, stat."

Vanders is not best 22.

We are absolute garbage. Last two games have really taken a lot of the shine off this season. Two steps forward three steps back.

This isn't 186 but it's not heaps better in terms of endeavour.

Vanders wouldn't get a game for too many other clubs. Yet again, his handballs all go to team mates' shins and whenever he has the ball, he takes an eternity to get rid of it.

Great.  So why were we the Blues 'Grand Final' instead of Essendon?

Probably better we lost last week, today's performance would be even harder to take if it was for a spot in the finals.

Effort all round today has been rubbish. Barely any players can hold their head high after that half. Great to see Salem played further up the field and having a dip. Disappointing to see what Hogan has become. For a big guy, he was one of the fittest hardest working and aggressive players in the league last year. This year he barely leads, sooks if he doesn't get an easy mark and is having zero impact. More opportunities this year yet less marks, less goals, less tackles. He has either decided he is leaving and is mentally checked out, or he needs a massive rocket. On form Pederson and Dawes are ahead of him.

The perspective is we have had our culture rebuilt for 3 years and in the last game that coach oversees we go back to how we looked when he came in.

"Nothing to play for"? You don't have that luxury coming from where we've come from.

NO! No positives!  Let us be angry and turn on each other!

Nothing to play for?  How about giving the guy who has supposedly been the 'messiah' a proper send off?  This is like watching the Passion of Christ!

It's been a successful season, but this isn't good enough. Whatever momentum could have been built for 2017 has been dashed and whatever could have been learnt from last weekend's disgrace has clearly not been.

Totally disagree.  But I can't be bothered arguing it today with you Stuie as I don't have the energy to go round and round and round in circles.

Cheers.

As much as we have improved this year, one of the selling points was that we had no had one of these complete beltings like every other bottom 10 side.

For that reason, as trivial as it may be, this perfomance disappoints me.

Also, the FD and players don't get to pin it on the fact that Geelong has something to play for and we don't. After losing to Carlton last week despite finals being a distinct possibility, we don't get to say that.

No it hasn't.  So the players go in to pre-season going 'we're only as good as our last game?'.  They'll go in knowing that they still need to make some serious improvements to push for finals.

Roos' worst loss as coach was his second as our coach where we lost by 92 points. Let's hope we don't rol over and record his worst loss as coach as a parting gift. That would be f*cking pathetic and the players should have to forfeit their pay if that happens. They're employed to do a job and they're not doing it.

Well given Roos has talked so much about momentum into the preseason then I would say he disagrees with you too.

But hey, you're probs right, "nothing to play for" today, we already have such a good reputation and consistent culture...

Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
