Gerald Healy giving Jeremy Howe a bath on Fox Footy. Pointing out his inadequacies very astutely.

Howeys revealing himself as a C grader with one A grade asset with every turnover.

Knew the Pies would get up. The Eagles are such downhill skiing pretenders... infuriating that we lost last week; relocate that game to the 'G and I bet we would've won without the BS one-sided umpiring and, probably, more accurate kicking.

He just picked out the only West Coast player with that last kick forward...

If we had played West Coast at the G, in similar conditions, a few weeks ago and been soundly beaten then I would agree.  It would be very disappointing.

But we didn't.  We played them on their home turf, much of it wet, slippery conditions, and if not for wasted opportunities that we should have taken, we win the game.  We didn't win it, but to suggest that our game against the Eagles is somehow similar to the one today and that things will 'get ugly' if the Pies get up is a sad, naive and short sighted response.  It's a response for those posters who love to wallow in negativity and they'll look for ANY way to push that feeling on others.

I say get stuffed.  Any reasonable Melbourne supporter would be disappointed with last week's loss (myself included), but see today's outcome, if the Pies get up, as not even close to a reflection of last week or that it shows we are 'behind' the Pies.  It's nonsense.

You seem content, indeed indulgent, to gloss over the obvious. Whilst we were winning everything ( except the game ) we manage to bag two magnificent points in the last qtr to choke. The Pies kicked it up a gear to 5 goals and WIN.

Your stance is what epiomises MFC excuses. Your welcome to it.

You're boring.  You've missed the point entirely and also missed the fact that I said, twice, that I was disappointed in the game last week.  Doesn't mean I have to take a dumb stance about it.

I really don't want St Kilda to play finals but I would love to see Boomer lose his milestone match, especially after spending the whole week talking about how much he loves himself.

St Kildas improvement is overrated.

In fact almost half of their wins (4 out of 9) have come against two sides - us (who they beat every year) and Essendon, who they were lucky to beat by just 11 points a few weeks ago.  Now struggling to kick a goal against an out of form North.

I swear, watching other clubs makes me go certifiably insane sometimes. St Kilda, that midget-burning basketcase with the perennial wool over us regardless of coach, players and gamestyle, have kicked 3 goals in an entire match, well into the fourth quarter against a thoroughly average team we nearly defeated.

Why are we so consistently bad against this mob... every... single... time!?

It's infuriating!!!!!!!!

AGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just want to scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, everyone turns into superstars against Brisbane.

They really are [censored], to put it mildly. Quite amusing to hear the AFL has ruled out any draft assistance despite their plight, and the drug cheats getting pick 1.

They are an absolute basket case at the minute.  Regardless of their win last week, they are worse than the drug cheats.

Even if it is against Brisbane, that's pretty good stats...

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
