We had our moments.

However, we aren't near where we need to be.

The foot comes on and off the pedal too much.

Just not good enough simple as that.

Ball use was poor and our pressure when we lost it was poor.

We continued to bomb it to the saints advantage and couldnt keep up with front runners. Overuse of the handball played in to aints hands as well.

A few blokes with poor disposal and slow should be worried about their careers.

We continually lose to teams who rebound against us

When does the rebuild start?

Tried to come up with a pithy comment BBO. Couldn't. That trip to Darwin took it out of me. Very disappointed.

Not angry, just disappointed.  I've yelled, gotten angry and been frustrated at our decisions today, but in the end I'm more disappointed than anything.

But we lost the game up in the box with our gameplan.  St. Kilda beat us EXACTLY how they beat us last time and we didn't seem to plan for it.  No change at all.  We started well, but the moment they put us under pressure we faltered.  They made us look slow and we played some dumb footy which allowed them to get it down there end without trouble and score.

I don't buy us being tired or whatever.  Not enough players rose to the occasion.  They stopped Hunt's run, Kennedy was poor, White and Grimes were WELL down on last week, Hogan had a mare, the captain was quiet, Vandenberg didn't do a whole lot... and the list goes on.

So, what do we do?  We reboot and look to next week.  What else can we do?  A few will get dropped and I think we know that guys like Grimes aren't the way forward.  When the pressure lifted some of our guys were found wanting.

Chin up fellas.

No one stood up for the whole game. Only a few cameos here and there. Most of the team down today. Entire forward line thrashed. Worst umpires today too, going both ways, not idea what rules the were umpiring for

Yep agree WB

I like that we want to play our style but it played in to saints hands. Overuse off thr footy killed us.

I'm not going to bag individual players as the whole team was down but there are a few blokes who are too slow and cant kick, which is a terrible combination to carry in our game plan

Players and coaching staff learned nothing from our first game against them this year. You could play footage of the game side by side and it would look exactly the same.

We haven't turned the corner yet, and we won't have until we beat this mob.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
