How many people have you kicked off your precious little facebook page for disagreeing with you on the Dawes arguement Stuie?

Il take a shot and say 738373683837..

Amazing that 1 person could continue to  bat for a spud like Dawes who plays the witches hat role quite well.

Oh wow. Is this the same FB page that kicked me off for suggesting Mitch Clark was a [censored]? If so, you're missing nothing. If you think this place is childish at times, you have no idea.

Nah pal, if that's the quality of your posts then it's the FB page that is missing nothing.

Sorry, humour must have been lost somewhere. Maybe the question mark required a squiggle.

Playing my mother in law would be cruel and unusual punishment for the opposition. Would bring the game into disrepute.

Jokes aside Id love to see Dawes succeed and be part of the team for another two years but that's wishful thinking

He was rushed back into Senior team too soon

He needed more time at Casey to gain some form

Never too late - send him back to Casey to gain that form!

Is Dawes the one on the cart saying "I'm not really dead" before Goodwin clubs him on the head... ?

From all accounts I hear he is a great bloke around the club. Always puts in his all on the field. But thats about it for me.

His marking is flaky at best. Constantly beaten by guys younger and far smaller. Kicking for goal isnt anything special.

Return on investment has been pretty poor. With Wieds/Hulett learning the craft at Casey, they will eventually work there way in and hopefully cement a spot with Hogan/Jeffy/Watts etc.

Cant see Dawes being any part of the future.

Interestingly, at a recent function he was asked by someone if he plays for the club and tongue in cheek(?) he said, only until Simon Goodwin takes over.

"I'm getting better"

"No you're not"

"I don't want to go on the cart"

"Don't be such a baby"

Why the need to start an entire thread with the sole purpose of hanging [censored] on a player? It's mind numbing.

Talk about this in the post-match, or the contracts thread, or any of the other threads that exist to talk about what might happen to players post-season.

But it's not great to push this barrow that you've already done to death on the post-match thread, knowing that it will generate lots of bandwagon vitriol from the rest of the forum.

Appreciate the polite manner you have expressed yourself in but I reserve the right to express an opinion. Not alone as it seems. As for vitriol I dont think theres been much except for your stu, the self appointed sanctimonious arbitrator of who can say what and then pots 2 dozen of his own.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
