Not sure if mentioned elsewhere, but the fact of no FTA TV coverage on a day where there are no other matches, is mindbogglingly disappointing.

Disagree with the first sentence, but agree with the third and fourth..

Kent is not on his pat malone in the losses, that being said he must be doing something right in the eyes of the coaches to be continually picked

To stay in the finals hunt we must win to peg a game back on the Crows, and it would also help if the Sydney beat the Doggies.

I think we're more likely to replace North if we end up making finals. They've got a tough run home.

Fair enough, big bodies....but, like all of us, they're ageing a little bit! :)

I think that Jones x2 in the middle, Vince for Scotty T and Garlett gets a run through there....

Get that clearance!

Speak for yourself Jumbo ...im trying my best not to ?

Actually, we need to win this then keep winning ---  OMG, even back to back or hat-trick wins -- (dreaming).

I think tomorrow needs to be a real statement game, it's a good opportunity against a quality team at home with us being the only game for the day. I feel like if we're in the hunt at 3 quarter time then we might be able to have a little more run in the legs with us having the bye last week.

It'll be a big day for them with it being the anniversary of Phil Walsh passing, but we just need to focus on what we can control and hopefully Gawn puts on another masterclass to give our mids first use.

Can't imagine this happening to a dead rubber match with any interstate clubs or the AFL favs in Vic. Even Essendrug would get a guernsey.

Why winning tomorrow (and a few more in 2nd half) is crucial to the club's resurrection.

Matt jones was in great form early in the year before getting injured. He gives us what we dont have - two way running and spread. His decision making is improving as he gets more experience ...

His decision-making is also improving, because players further up the field are making better decisions.

Hard to see us getting up against Adelaide, they haven't won xx in a row for nothing, and are ticking over well.

We beat them in 2014! In Adelaide too.

Assuming he means there current 5 game winning streak not Vs us...  Weeks ago I put this game down as an upset win, with the Crows current form I'm not so confident but anytime we take on an interstate side at the G I go with some confidence... Coming off the bye we can't afford a slow start and let Adelaide jump us and be 4-5 goals up at qrt time. Good opportunity to see where we are at against a quality side on our home deck

I think 2017 starts tomorrow.

Reckon that's what 7 other clubs would have been thinking this round also.

And to think the 8 was pretty much settled at the half way mark. The AFL should be congratulated on their efforts to even up this competition.

You sound surprised? The top 8 barely changes after about round 9 every year. It's why early season momentum and a favourable draw are incredibly important.

Exactly as junior said....that's why teams like ours can't afford to drop easy (sic) easier games - that loss will hurt for a while.

I have a bigger problem with the time that this match is being played. If it's not on FTA, why the heck is it a 3.20 and not a 1.10 or 2.10 game? The reason for the 3.20 games are so coverage flows into 7 News, but if they don't have the coverage... what, it flows into Bounce in Fox? Rubbish.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
