I just thought i'd start this thread so I could say let's drop OMac, Kent, Newton etc, etc, etc.

Nev Jetta, I don't know where we'd be without you. The only player who doesn't get intoxicated on their own bathwater after a win (over sides that are even worse than us).

I've said it before and I'll say it again, we play DUMB football sometimes. There was one point when Tmac marked on the back flank. Garland was well clear and calling for it on the wing. Tmac decides to switch to the opposite flank. Bad idea, bad kick, kicks inaccurately to a one on two. Contest, port win it and a Port goal. This was in the second quarter when we were fighting late in the quarter to get back. JUST DUMB!!!!! Momentum gone. Balloon pricked by stupidity! ARGHHHHH!

Garland could have a cracked cheekbone  according to roos. So can you get reported for accidently throwing your elbow back and doing that damage?

Roos: I've got to take responsibility for not making more changes for this week. We spoke about it at match committee

Sounds like he may think that decision this week and may make a few.

I hope the selectors start this week with a clean sheet of paper and look long and hard at the players to ensure we are picking a team we think will win rather than picking a team we hope might win.

I would drop 7 on their play and form today and Viney might get a week on top of that for, being stupid.

OMac and Garland out of the backs with Wagner in line fora drop as well. Replace them with Dunn, Frost and Grimes. They coUtd not be any worse.

Oliver, Vdb and Trengove to come into the midfield in place of Kennedy, Bugg and ANB.

get Dawes or Pedersen in in place of Kent.

Wake half the team and see if they can be bothered turning up.

In mix for Outs: Newton, ANB, maybe Kent and OMac (not sure we have a better option than him though), Garland (concussion?)

In mix for Ins: Trenners, Frost (back), Dawes/Pedo (forward) and Oliver

Require a jolly good flogging: Tyson, Garlett, Kennedy and Hogan's set shot.

Updates please?: Lumumble, Salem, AvB

OMFG  we are a developing team ..  saw a post elsewhere about our young/inexperienced list being a convenient "Ëxcuse" for our performance

For me its more like the "Reason"

We will learn from this and realistically be in contention by 2018 as befits our current progress

Still hard to listen to though

In line to be dropped: Harmes, Kent, OMac, ANB, Newton, Kennedy (if injured), Tyson (if ill).

Too hard to say who will come in until Casey plays but we need a second tall (Pedersen/Dawes), we need to replace OMac who is simply not ready for AFL football right now. Oliver comes back if he's fit, and maybe Grimes or Trengove get their chance.

Garland was OK. But OMac is painful to watch. It's just like watching another young Zac Dawson. Seriously, what does he bring?

Dunn in for Omac.

Thought Wagner made some bad choices although he had reasonable numbers. Harry O in if fit.

I thought Watts was really good - medium numbers at high efficiency. But we need a proper second tall forward/2nd ruck (Watts to be the Gunston role).

Dawes or Pedo required back in ASAP. Maybe Newton out for that one.

Out OMac, Wagner, Newton.

In Dunn Dawes and Harry O.

Does it matter who is in or out?  Play any 22 fit players. This is the classic deck chairs shuffling match.  There is not the mental hardness  and resolve to overcome teams that habitually  kick the proverbial sand in our face. If we win it will be a greater aberration than last years win over Geelong.

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

Failed to fulfill the promise of his breakout six goal effort against the Tigers in 2023 and was generally disappointing as a key forward. After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed. The son of former Demon Brownlow Medalist Shane, Taj added a further 16 games to his overall tally of games but a number were as substitute.
