Hi, sorry I've been MIA since last year. Busy at work with not enough time. Had a spare hour between meetings in Box Hill and the City which allowed me 40 minutes at the paddock yesterday.

Not many photos but enjoy ==>  https://six6six.smugmug.com/photos/swfpopup.mg?AlbumKey=fPh89h

Need to get your priorities in check!

Taking snaps for the nut house or getting bit of loose cash here and there..?

As usual excellent photos. Just out of interest what do you shoot them with.

I have a number of cameras full frame and cropped (All Canon), these were taken with a Canon 7D Mk II with EF 100-400 L Mk II

I wondered if it was something like a 400. They're crystal clear. You've got a great knack for getting action shots at a good point. I guess a motor drive as well. I live in Sydney so really appreciate your pics especially of new players. Gives a great sense of what they are like physically and some skills execution. Oliver's and Weideman's size. The Weid looked much lighter in the upper body than I expected for someone already 91+ kgs. But your shots show he has a really light touch and feel for the ball. He looks from your photos like he could be something special. Also interesting seeing Tracs kicking style. Very unique to him and looks very consistent from the photos. He looks like a beast. He and Mumford would be the only recruits I've heArd of who have to lose weight not out it on. Mummy was mature age when he started.

Great stuff. Thanks again.

I'm thinking about buying something but I'd be lower end than you. Possibly a 750D or maybe the new 80D. Will use it for a bit of videoing as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Great pics, thanks Six6Six!

Fantastic to see so many smiles on faces, and Trenners looking very fit.

Not sure what is going on here, but all fine by me if they share a few flags at the MFC.

Looks to have got his speed back as well.

If thats true and it holds up when he starts playing,  his surgeon should be given a statue at the MCG

Great shots six.

Trenners looks in ripping nick. What a story this could be.

I drove past Gosch's just before midday and saw what looked to be the rehab group consisting of Trac, Trenners, JKH and Smith (I think). They were doing 200m run thoughs and there was no mucking about, there was literally around 5 seconds rest before having to turn around and go again, JKH led every time but all moved very well and pushed themselves. I returned past 20 min later and Trenners and Trac were running the boundary at pace.

I really can't decide on who I'm more excited to see on the park. But going from the way they're moving, I don't think we'll have to wait long to see either.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
