Reading between the lines with Roos recent comments, I think T Mac signs within the week.

you're dreaming. and he is dreaming of the pies, dons, hawks, and freo.

he is gone.

One thing I've notice this season is that Tmac is invested when he is playing.

He ain't no Frawley look a like on the field.

I think come seasons end, should we perform at least as well as we have been, that we will be curiously entertained by a new dynamic coming into the equation.  Some other club's players might actually want to join us. If our wagon is going a bit better than their's ( club ) or if  not getting the games  or whatever  then a player may feel there's a niche he can carve out for himself with us. Not saying it WILL happen, but it might. This wouldnt have happen until fairly recently.  Bernie being the trail blazer I feel.. Other may have watched with interest...or might start now.

Going to quite fascinating for mine.

I think Tom would be a nong to go, he just needs to reset his gyroscope to reality and get on with it.  Id be very surprised if Goody wouldnt want to find  a journey man to really make Full Back his.

BB, yes I think he would be too, but I suspect there are a few like Scully who simply chase the dollar. I'm beginning to suspect Tom is one of them. If so, let him go, we will get well compensated for him, and it wont compromise what Roos has brought to us - an incredibly strong culture and an uncompromising attitude.

You are also right that we are positioning ourselves as a destination club. Bernie Vince was the trail blazer (and if the rumours are to be believed there are at least a couple of his star mates who would love to join him), and I have no doubt there will be a number of players who will put their hands up to join us in the next couple of years.

Ironically, what might be hanging them back is our star list, and their ability to break into the senior side.

The future is bright, but there is no doubt we have to perform. To be another Richmond or Freo, is simply un-acceptable, but we will not be.

The leadership is far brighter than that....

I haven't read every post, but who's his manager?

If it's the same twit that looks after Dustin Martin or Travis Cloke, then I wouldn't read much into it.

PS Wishing all the best to Travis Cloke in holding the club to ransom this time around!

Unsure if mentioned already

I'm not showing any colours. just the respect that there is a time and a place for politics, but a football forums is not one of them.

I'm always amused by someone who doesn't bother tackling the initial problematic comment but jumps on the retaliator.

If you felt so strongly about it you should have said something to the originator.  I call out your utter BS.

I hold your type with complete contempt.

Cheers.

Agreed. This sounds like a 'pull your head in - we value you, but not at any price - sign the deal'.

This makes sense - Roos is a master of subtlety and subterfuge.

In the past, he has certainly been one of the filthiest about losing, and how we have lost.

I think he will probably sign but some players do actually have pride in their performance

Maybe their feeding O-Mac games to keep Tommy onside!

He's too much of a typical loyal sort of bloke to leave IMO

At the moment he is worth the balance of 99 cents in the dollar! That makes by my calculation 1 Cent pathetic excuse for a footballer! Refuses to get body on body in Contest Dixon has kicked 3 on him already not good enough!

Posted

His main job is to defend! I don't care how many times he looks flashy running down the ground! his Direct opponent for most of the game Charlie Dixon kicked 5 IN A MATCH WINNING PERFORMANCE! Trade!!

Posted

After today I really don't care if he doesn't sign.

His main job is to stop goals Period! Today his direct opponent kicked 5

Say no more! Far far too lose!!

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns.
