Still ticking over. Still 6 weeks to go.  But with only 3 Home games at the G let I can't see too many memberships being sold.  So somewhere around 39,000 will be the number.

By the way...I heard a discussion on radio this morning that while Ess membership numbers are up many are past 'Full Season' members who have traded down to '3 Game' members.

Would love to know that split by club.  Hawks, North, Pies, Ess would have a huge number of 3 gamers.  This is important as the AFL seems to use membership numbers as the basis for fixtures, TV slots etc etc.

Whereas the person who I sat next to yesterday signed her cat up as a Demon member.

p.s. Disappointed that yesterday's win over the Pies only resulted in another 43 members up on Friday's figure!

Can't believe we only have 3 home games at the G left.

I really got my money's worth this year... 4 games for a $400 reserve seat

QB win is worth a few games. #value

Exactly why we must reclaim the The NT games as soon as we can

for playing home games in nt (technically it's a "replacement" game iirc)

Ah ok, that makes sense then, so Victorian based members still get into the same amount of games with their memberships.

I was worried for a minute. The AFL's track record on 'compensation' isn't great.

yep that's right. this year we get both at the mcg too, round 2 vs the druggies and round 22 versus the brown baggers. only drawback is no reserved seating (without paying extra separately) for members with seating. presumably taken into account in season reserved seating cost.

I cant see many more signing up now.. If possibly more games( than will be )  at the G were left you might..

Its a goodly number for 2016

I reckon we'll nudge 45000 Next season ...caveat...a good start , with some healthy wins and Hogan signed up.

Not sure how it will leverage the new comp but possibly some interest in becoming members( more lady members )  because of the  'girls"

I'm stuck in Beijing - zero games.

You might have no games in Beijing but at least you've got the Beijing air to breathe. No charge for that.

One of the few places in the world that you can see the air you are breathing.

Anyone else get an email from the club addressed to their kids where they can "sign up a Demon buddy" for the remainder of the 2016 season for free?

There's a form to complete online (link in email), if you know any kids under 15 you can sign them up if you have a kids membership  (need to put in referring member number) as long as they haven't been a member before. Assuming these all add up to the final tally even if given out for free.

It's not so much 'breathing' it, it's more like digesting it.

My son who has just spent a couple of days in Beijing, says it's called Beijing because the air is coloured beige.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
