Nathan Hrovat will be a Demon this trade period. 3 year deal @ 300k per Source - Board member of one of the clubs involved (not MFC)

I like! Hope your source is good HH.

All of a sudden HH has board members coming out of his wazoo! Said the same in the Dangerfield thread.

And the Adcock thread.

Clearly the destination club now. lol.

HH obviously had Barrett like sources. Just make enough plausible deals up and surely at least one will be true!

Waiting for a board member to confirm that Melksham will be a Dee...

Judging by the different font I'm guessing he's copy and pasted it from somewhere, maybe the facebook trade rumours group.

I'd much prefer Hrovat to Melksham FWIW.

Well spotted, has a slightly grey background to it.

I'd rather take a half eaten pack of Twisties than Milkman.

Technically speaking we're all members of a Demons "board". Myself personally, I'm also on the board of multiple clubs over at Big Footy.

Is it a silent H? As in row-vat. Seems awkward to pronounce. Other than that I'm keen.

Really like this kid - this would be good get.

Agreed - though could be a very good get. But he's also rated highly at the Bulldogs, so some work to do.

Have read mutterings about salary cap pressure, so perhaps that'll help if the deal is right. If it's possible, this is one that could depend on other trades, especially Stef Martin. If he gets to Footscray, which is what's being discussed, they may have to make some space in their cap.

But as always at this time of the year ... who knows what's really going on. Perhaps we'll do next to nothing all trade period and land O'Meara on the last day.

If we're offering Melksham 1.6 over 4, i'm assuming the offer to Hrovat is 9.8mill over 7 years...

Its funny - on two different pages on facebook one guy with 'inside sources'said this guy had issues with McCartney then the next page a guy said the opposite.

I dont doubt hh's sources because in my walk of life in the last five years independently ive come in to contact with the best mate if an mfc player, the cousin of an mfc listed player and ive known other people with loose connections for a while.

Problem is what is let slip to you is often flavoured by misconceptions, old info and opinion ive found.

I don't rate Hrovat. His in the same pile as Michie Newton and Riley for me.

well those two werent ever rated nearly as high as he is..

Techinically it's a harsh 'H' - like the Scottish 'ch' (e.g. Loch Ness). It's an archaic/alternative spelling of 'Croat'.

Most commentators use a regular English 'H'. As for how the man himself pronounces it, dunno. I guess we wait for the inevitable question from Burgo in his first interview (if we recruit him).

I'd much prefer 6 - 9 list changes, so I think we could fit both of them into our list.

Hopefully he doesn't full asleep by the time Burgo finishes the question and we can all find out. Edited by Forest Demon

    TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
