It was reported on one of the radio stations this morning that we have asked him in for a medical.

Must be seriously considering the big fella.

Is it a coincidence he played his best game against us, busting a gut to prove his worth?

Not a bad decision really.. We don't have anyone going into free agency apart from Garland with any real value that will risk being diminished if we brought in Kreuzer. Would cost us nothing in terms of players or draft picks.. Can help out big Maxy and rest up forward to allow Hogan to push up if need be.

It would be slightly ironic that the final outcome of the Kreuzer cup was that he ended up win the winner, not the looser!

Don't want him at the club though, too injury prone.

A definite yes.
Dawes has shown that he can't play the Leigh Brown ruck/forward role when he was at Collingwood. Spencil is a ruckman first and foremost and hasn't got the body type to be a forward. I nearly fell over when I saw Dunny in the ruck on Sunday (it was the second most surprising rucking decision I have seen since Sylvia played the role for the final two centre hit outs against Port). Pedo also is too short for it as well (though I think his body type holds up better than Dunn's).

Kreuzer can play forward and ruck. If his body holds up then we have a one two combo with him and Jesse that is as good as any in the league.

He has proven to play very well up forward. A Gawn-Kreuzer ruck combo would be pretty epic.

Look...both Gawn and Kreuzer are rucks. They thrive on playing in the ruck, neither can play forward for any length of time...

What would he cost us?

Nothing pick wise. But probably around 500k a year. I could see us going to 550k if we had to, and didn't have anyone else lined up. That is overs, so it really is hard to say with Kreuzer, but speculation has him going at 500k, so realistically it would take another 50k to get him to MFC.

Nup.

Gawn number 1 ruck - go and find a forward who can ruck a bit.

Yep, we have our ruckman now. Gawn underwhelms as a forward and thrives as a ruck - much like Kreuzer. He doesn't strike me as the type of player we need. What we do need is a player who can play mostly forward and pinch hit well in the ruck.
