certainly a touch of deja vu eh.

Its also deja vu as to why he hasn't come good. But funnily enough he only had one year under Neeld(and wasn't he injured for most of that?? can't remember....)

We are now seeing young players coming in and impacting games. Yes some take longer to develop but let's not forget he was a gun at junior level and to date has given us nothing to work with.

Send him home.

As I stated a few weeks ago, just prior to our final match:

The following are injured, or added to last week's 22

Dawes, Frost, Kent, Lumumba, Pedersen, Petracca, Trengove, Tyson, Vandenberg PLUS White, Harmes, Brayshaw, Kennedy-Harris

That makes a total of 35 'in the mix' at the moment

This means everyone at Casey this week are 'ranked' 36th best at the club, meaning they are the bottom 9 players on the list including rookies. This is where Toumpas is currently at. The others in this unfortunate group are King, Fitzpatrick, Riley, Terlich, Bail, McKenzie, Hunt and Jamar.

I'm neither for or against JT at this stage but can anyone argue with this logic?

It's hard to believe first year players like Stretch and Harmes are getting games ahead of Toumpas ...

not really

In the middle of the season when he played 8 straight games including a few good ones he was in the 22 and we probably had less than 8 injuries at that stage so he was in the top 30.

His efforts in the VFL in the back end of the year were not great but at the same time he had a couple of concussions and the flu that went around.

I don't see the need to rank players so much. I doubt he'll get delisted like most of the above and I think with a full run at it he'll be too good for VFL and pushing regularly for a senior spot (not that that means much, most of the names above were dominating VFL). Given that Stretch is the only player I'd call a natural wingman on our list I'd say Toumpas would always be close to a game.

Very true. I was listening on radio to that draft and I felt sick when his name was called out at no.12, made even worse because (the good) Tom Lynch who I wanted us to land went at 11.

Only good thing about Prendergast is he's at Carltank now. :)

jusdster radar prenderghast ??? i sure hope the recycled cardboard money wasn't enabling double agents in any house. I don't believe it, but stranger things have happened in the world of sport.

Staggers me that some grown adults can't differentiate between he's and his. I mean, honestly. The mind boggles.

You know you're talking about olisik, right?

So Boys and Girls Is he still ""set to sign a two year deal""

I've heard rumours about retiring? Let's hope their not true!

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
