Dermot Brereton talked about Yarran during the week on SEN. Basically said he would be icing on the cake at a top club but doubted his value outside a top 4 club. He said the Dawks should throw the kitchen sink to get him running off half back for them. But in a lower club there would always be doubts he could produce as we have seen at the Blues at times.

Personally I would be happy for us to chase him but the price would have to be realistic for us, he may struggle because he would have to get his own ball.

Not sure I understand the dislike of Lynch of Adelaide - every time I see him play he plays well...kicked 23 goals - averaging 7 marks and 18 disposals a game.

Don't agree with that. Regardless of which club takes him, his attitude will determine whether he succeeds or fails, because the talent is there. Freo thought that Sylvia was the icing on their cake, and look how that turned out.

As long as Roos is prepared to play him at Casey as required to give him a rocket, which he won't do with several high profile players.

Don't disagree. I was just highlighting that we need consistent effort from all our players and not draft someone who will go missing when the chips are down. But both you and Mo make valid comments. We need a team of skilled footballers with a group of match winners who maintain a high level of consistency from week to week. Perhaps a la Garlett, Yarran can do that. However, like any paid employment, a persons track record is important.
