Wow

Great news for Jack, and the club. Still a hell of a long road ahead but well done.

Great news for the club too that Max and JW thought of and organized it all - shows great camaraderie and club spirit.

Hope it is an indicator of both players' long term intentions to be part of the Demon revival.

PS. did bring a tear to my one eye.

I nearly vomited. Another draft pick gone very badly wrong in so many ways.

Well said. I find it really sad when people can't see the human aspect to footy.

It was a touching gesture by his teammates. Ability to get back on the footy field has nothing to do with what this thread is about.

Absolutely! It was a very special moment in Jack's rehab, and for the entire club to celebrate it in that way was special. I'm proud of them all!

Exactly.

If there was a thread dedicated to the likelihood of him taking the ground again or becoming an effective player for the MFC I'd have no issue.

But that's not what this thread is about or should evolve to.

I think you'll find that the point wasn't about permissions and approvals, but judgment, something patently lacking in your previous post. As the great American philosopher Kenny Rogers once said: "You've got to know when to hold'em."

What a wonderful gesture by Max and Jack Watts. And to see the obvious pleasure of his team mates when he ran through the banner was quite moving.

It wouldn't have happened 3 or 4 years ago, so now we're making progress as a team.

Whether JT makes it back as an integral part of the team or not is a question for a separate discussion (like most on this forum, I hope he does) but for the present: all the best Jack.

Can anyone pure support to the player after a long journey of injury from him? To be fair to him,he has a tough time since draft him and hope the new development coach develop him right like Watts. If Watts is turning around so as Trenner.

Strange that the negative stuff (the stuff that Pro Dee pulled you up on) seems to have disappeared from what you stand by.

Be a bit careful about how close you stand, you might disappear into a hole.

I think you read to re-read, and understand what I was referring to.

I was talking about what the guys, and supporters did for Jack. I thought it was team building.

Your smartarz follow up, was aimed in the wrong direction.

I will re state for clarity.

I thought the team and supporters were good, with their "welcome back"

I think Jack has taken one very very small step on the road to a recovery that I am hopeful that he can make.

I think unless he can regain his long lost speed, he will be a liability on field, just as he was prior to his break from playing.

I hope that clears up any misunderstanding on your part.

Doesnt change my view about Trengove. His last 20 or 30 games pre ops, were downright ordinary, and at times embarrassing.

I hope the op has fixed the injury, and he can find leg speed. Lots of it, because he was slower than Brock McLean.

I dont think too many on here would disagree with that. Just because he is running, doesnt mean he is "back". Just means we are a step closer to seeing if his foot will hold up. Nothing to get too excited about, I wouldnt think.

Wow what a moron you must be. Pretty clearly injured and playing because some genius (a bit like you really ) foisted the captaincy on him.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.
