i'd bet ryan griffin wouldn't be feeling too flash these days

He was a great player for them, one of the best mids in the comp, but one player doesn't make a team... the Cats won a flag the year after Ablett left, and we know how good he is

Thats why if we lose guys like Frawley and Howe it really matters little, they are easily replaceable

Thats the great thing about Aussie Rules its a true team sport

Geez the Dogs have recruited to absolute perfection in the last 4 drafts. The only question mark would have to be Boyd but plenty of time for that to play out.

Gee whiz, Wines and Stringer.. two players it's so bittersweet to watch.

Jed Lamb just completely burnt his teammate for a certain goal then missed in one of the most selfish plays you'll ever see.

Saw that and even I was ropeable (and I can't stand the Giants). Who was the player he burnt? Would love to be a fly on the wall when they come face to face.

Not sure, pure guess was it was Whitfield but I'm probably wrong.

Whoever it was and Leon Cameron might want to confront young Jed in the locker rooms with socks filled with soap...

You decide to burn a teammate? Don't miss the goal.

Definitely won't go over well with the coaches or teammates.

"OLLIE Wines' season could be over after dislocating his shoulder against St Kilda on Sunday".

Such a shame. He is an opposition player I really enjoy watching.

Hope he is back sooner rather than later.

"Mark what do I say after a loss like that...

Well it is quiet easy James, I didn't see that coming."

Ps I love how when it is going well it is all I and me with Hird but when it turns to treacle in his fingers it becomes we. Take responsibility for farks sake jimbo.

Would you rather be Carlton, Essendon or dead?

I can't believe we lost to [censored] Essendon.

I also can't believe with as bad as we've been at times, there's 5 teams worse than us.

At least if you're dead you might have some chance of an afterlife.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
