Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Did anyone rate Michie being the sub?

How do you rate somebody who comes on after they have kicked 6 to put the game out of our reach. He had

9 disposals, 1 clearance, 2 tackles,1 goal assist and scored a behind in basically the last quarter. On those number he should have been on all game. Might have had a bit of impact.

You know that's not true Bitter. Deep down you love it even more - like a disadvantaged child. Perhaps membership should be made tax deductable under the registered charity legislatio

I watched this game from the comfort of Romsey Manor RTG. During the third quarter I used alcohol to wash down an additional "atenolol" and my poor gentle bloody dog is still hiding in the bedroom. I'm not wasting my time or energy going to another game this year.

What a wonderful game that was. I hope they tape it so they can show prospective Melbourne supporters just the type of football our club can put on. We are seriously the best club out there when it comes to handpasses to stationary players, botching kicks going forward, making the wrong match ups and allowing teams to get a run on in a quarter of their choosing that will put the game out of our reach.

No-one does it better guys.

Roos isn't the problem either guys. He isn't kicking the ball, missing a handpass or not running hard enough.

I rated it [censored] useless out of 10.

How did you rate Garland, Garlett, Harmes, Stretch and Vandenberg?

I've got to admit, I like to accentuate the positive but beyond the season almost over, I'm struggling to find many. I even found myself agreeing with Stuie.

We were pathetic today, but the umpiring was infuriating. Especially from Brad Wallace... I wonder if his old man had a hand in him getting the job?

Im sick of people even mentioning the umpiring after an effort like today. Thats like someone p1ss1ng in your mouth and your pointing out that your Tshirt is getting wet.

FFS, there is so much more to be concerned about after today than some [censored] umpiring decisions.

Wait until we are matching it with other sides and the results come down to umpiring decisions THEN we can discuss it. Until then it is just pointless noise

We had 77 more hand balls and they had 44 more kicks.

Those 77 handballs ultimately led to turnovers and those 44 kicks got the ball forward quickly, giving the Saints forwards a chance to be one out, or alone and then goal.

Melbourne played exactly as they did last week.

Poor skills, poor coaching and on top of that poor umpiring didn't help.

Exactly! I am one who actually wasn't happy we won last week. In my opinion the win against the Lions helped to disguise some serious issues out of that game. Today those issues had no where to hide

The AFL should rethink about giving lowly sides very bad match slots , all i can see it doing is keeping them in a spiral of decline!!

Successful teams need competition , and quite frankly you could give them the type of poor timings we get and fans would still flock to see their team compete ..

Lowly sides like us need all the help they can get because without us there would be no successful teams to play against !

Besides that , i do think that perhaps Paul Roos should consider turning his job over to Goodwin because i believe his game style now has gone a bit passe !!

Dawes should be dropped. He is paid to be a full forward and elected to pop in to the square where all our player were out of position. I say bring in Jamar as our second ruck/forward. Him or Fitzy.

So much for pushing for a big second half of the year, we seem to be incapable of breaking out of negative mind sets once they've crept in.

Does anyone from the Club monitor this site? Deplorable result. 30 minutes later, we are still at page 2. Even the diehards are giving-up! Like most of the players.

Ive been thinking the same thing. 4 years ago, after a loss like today this would be page 23 by now. there is most definitely a serious drop off in passion.

Would be a bunch of censored words really.

Yep!! In fact no one really rated today in my opinion. The 3 word summary for all should be censored.

My family and I did a first today. We walked out halfway through the 3rd QTR reeling from another putrid performance by this team. Right from the get go I sensed this group was going to serve up another compelling reason not to renew costly memberships next year and they did not disappoint.

If the MFC believes it will attract new members to this club they have their collective heads up their rear ends.

The brand of football is putrid, I challenge anyone to say its enjoyable, and unless there is a massive change in AFL football we are not going anywhere folks. This situation onfield for the MFC happens far too often and too frequent for any hardened supporter. The football is rubbish to watch but even worse for MFC supporters who pay to watch this rubbish far too often. This club needs a revolution or die....

I feel for the kids, and fully understand why they would go and play soccer, this rubbish served up by this club does nothing for the game I love.

We bomb it into packs. No leads. High up and unders. Do they think it's rugby? Oh no wait rugby players can lay tackles that stick and hurt.

Don't forget bombing it to the goal square where a lonely Saints player was standing waiting for an easy mark. Multiple times.

We are so easy to coach against, we've clearly been found out.

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was

UNDER THE PUMP by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have been left languishing near the bottom of the VFL table after suffering a 32-point defeat at the hands of stand alone club Williamstown at Casey Fields on Sunday. The Demons suffered a major setback before the game even started when AFL listed players Ben Brown, Marty Hore and Josh Schache were withdrawn from the selected side. Only Schache was confirmed as an injury replacement, the other two held over as possible injury replacements for Melbourne’s Thursday night fixt

THE MEANING OF FOOTY by Whispering Jack

Throughout history various philosophers have grappled with the meaning of life. Aristotle, Aquinas, Kant, Nietzsche, Schopenhauer and a multitude of authors of diverse religious texts all tried. As society became more complex, the question became attached to specific endeavours in life even including sporting pursuits where such questions arose among our game’s commentariat as, “what is the meaning of football”? Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin must be tired of dealing with such a dilemma but,
