Confirmed MFC website.

Good luck to the kid.

Might sound silly but I see a lot of Dane Swan in him.

Just 15 kg lighter! Hopefully as effective

A bit, I should have said a bit!

Probably most excited about this kid of our draftees, because these are the picks we need to make count too, and I really think he will.

I just hope his mate Billy manages to stay in the side to run out beside him.

IMO a bad call by the club.

ANB needs more time and conditioning.

I would debut ANB round 16-17 onwards, just to give him a taste.

We've been decimated by injuries and ANB is coming off a good run of form in the VFL. The Saints are a young side. Absolutely the correct call, just as selecting a raw Brayshaw in Round 1 has proven to be.

I haven't seen much of ANB, but he clearly has no trouble winning the football. 35 possessions at his age is an amazing achievement in the VFL. I expect him to make a good fist of it.

He was coming in the top 3 in some of our running tests in some of his very first training sessions. Former state-level runner and has had a dominant month at Casey playing on-ball. I think he is good to go.

Decimated by injuries but we've dropped a mature kid in Newton. As far as I know he isn't injured. I don't think it's the right call to play ANB quite yet.

Unlike Brayshaw, ANB didn't have a pre-season, has had issues with his knee, and still needs conditioning.

IMO it is a bad call. Of course, I will be much happier to be wrong on this one.

No its more to do with play the way I want the game to be played and you will get a game, especially midfielders and it seems that Roos is now demanding that not asking for it, the heat is now on the players to do it.

How could it be a bad call? What do you think is going to happen to him out there?

Worst case scenario, he gets subbed off in the 3rd and comes out of it with an understanding of what is required to play in the AFL

Swan is the best comparrison. Runs all day so I'd say Stretch for sub and ANB to come off at 3qt. Really looking forward to his debut. More excited about him than I was about Brayshaw. I really felt we nailed this draft as they were all safe picks. Petracca and Brayshaw led Metro and ANB and Stretch led SA. I want to be right about it at AFL level.

Excited for the lad. Right from draft day where I was pumped we got ourselves a steal at pick 40 considering the Saints were tipped to pick him at pick 20 for a while.

All the best Nibbler!

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
