6 votes - VandenBurg: was the inner cog of our midfield,
5 votes - N.Jones: put the psi to 32 when we needed it, let the air down to 30, then back up to 32
4 votes - Vince: Not only did his job, he put the icing on the cake.
3 votes - Spencil: won the ruck, 8 tackles and i stopped cringing when he went to kick... thought i had permanent damage.
2 votes - Hogan Standard Jesse
1 vote - Toumpas just kept up the hard work, regardless of confidence

I had trouble with the last vote. I want to give a vote to someone in the defense, but i cant decide who. I will have to rewatch

6. Vandenberg - Cracking game.

5. Fitzpatrick- Solid first game in defence, took some good grabs.

4. Hogan- Give the kid a rising star nomination!

3. Pedersen- Dawes should not be allowed back in team until he can clunk marks like Pedo!

2. Vince- the difference in the last quarter.

1. Toumpas - Hopi this s step forward to bigger things for the Toump!

Please don't forget the Jones rule folks - there were two of them out there.

Surely, sir, ye jesteth. Only one Jones in the running though couldn't fit him in my votes - note, from watching on TV. Sadly couldn't get there.

vandenBerg

Pedersen

Vince

Spencer

Hogan

Brayshaw

And apologies to most of the remainder NB Fitz Toump (both their best games at MFC) Watts Grimes Tommy McD (first time out of the top 6 I would say)

6 - vandenBerg - so dynamic and aggressive

5 - Spencer - was confident and handled the ball accordingly

4 - Fitzpatrick - amazing turnaround in performance and a master stroke by Roos to play him in defence

3 - Hogan - just gives everyone confidence when he's near the ball

2 - Pedersen - grunt work and marking ability

1 - N.Jones - apart from 1 brain fade he was close to his usual dynamic self

At quarter time we remarked how off his game Vince was. He must have heard us because he then proceeded to tear it apart for the rest of the game.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
