I also did some googling. Clean also used with cocaine by at least one account. If it is ingestable, odourless and not toxic it would make a good packing agent

I don't know the particulars but I don't like the idea of mixing the two together. 2 stimulants together is a recipe for a heart attack.

Without inviting trouble for the forum owners, I will state my opinion that, having seen the escapades of one of the two accused in a Sydney club last year, the aforementioned speculation ticks multiple boxes for me. Much easier to get away with mischief in a city where nobody would recognize, nor care about, two small-time Collingwood players from a bar of soap.

The two players will be pushing it if they rely on the dodgy NZ meat story. China, Mexico and some EU countries are the places where meat contamination has been identified as a problem. NZ not mentioned here but Australian meat gets a tick as I would expect from our little brother across the Tasman - https://asada.govspace.gov.au/2012/03/01/contaminated-meat/

Just re the EU:

"Clenbuterol has been outlawed since 1996 and it showed up only once in 83,203 animal samples tested by EU countries in 2008 and 2009, with zero positive cases in Spain from 19,431 samples analysed."

Maybe things are different in Eastern Europe, but still "EU Countries" would cover all of them.

I doubt if many "invincible" young people, particularly "elite athletes" even consider heart attacks and cardiac arrest in the context of "recreational drugs" though it is amost a daily occurrence, sadly, in our city

There but for the grace ... Clean slate dream for Magpies left in ruins

This could have happened (and could still happen) to any AFL club including ours. Collingwood is strong enough to withstand the pressures that are being applied against the club ... but if this ever happened to us?

And let's not delude ourselves about the culture of this club over the past decade. One can only hope that the club and football administrations are right on top of this where our players are concerned?

Spot on WJ

I doubt "whatever it takes" is restricted to the EFC.

I seem to remember a certain club doctor getting moved on very quickly not so long ago.

There is only one thing for the AFL to do and that is honour the memory of ANZAC by removing the two drug-tainted Clubs from participation in the ANZAC Day match. No Collingwood or Essendon! Maybe the Dees vs St. Kilda might be two worthy combatants!

I was told about 2 years ago from a source who has Club connections (not MFC) that The Filth & Whorethorn were involved to some degree, but nobody had any evidence.

I have always wondered how a team can still be running flat out, Tackling with almost as much intensity as the first bounce deep in the last Quarter..

Makes one wonder how Dank would know the finer aspects of the "advanced" cell biology of the clubs mentioned.

Has he worked or consulted to/for Collingwood, Hawthorn or West Coast?

I am sure Dank would know all the other "scientists" working in the same field, at least via the phone.

Small secret industry....

Like any other small specialised niche industry. All know what their competitors are doing and even share information if suits them. Edited by america de cali

Story going around there may be more than these two involved. We have to stay tuned.

Well if a group of players bought their charlie (not brownlow) from the one source.......

BREAKING NEWS

Tony Sheahan has tweeted that TWO more AFL Players are set to announced as ‘early as this week’ to also testing positive to clenbuterol, the same performance enhancing drug Collingwood players Lachie Keeffe and Josh Thomas tested positive to. It is understood that the two players are from two different Victorian Clubs, however names of the players are currently being withheld due to legal ramifications.

It is also understood that clenbuterol is also commonly used to ‘cut’ cocaine.

uh oh

Yes, we should be worried if a now deleted thread on Demonology was to be believed.

Player initials???

I only read the thread when it was up. Absolutely no idea if it was a rubbish post or not.

Just speculation at this stage but a few whispers of a Carlton player being one of the two

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
