Without inviting trouble for the forum owners, I will state my opinion that, having seen the escapades of one of the two accused in a Sydney club last year, the aforementioned speculation ticks multiple boxes for me. Much easier to get away with mischief in a city where nobody would recognize, nor care about, two small-time Collingwood players from a bar of soap.

The two players will be pushing it if they rely on the dodgy NZ meat story. China, Mexico and some EU countries are the places where meat contamination has been identified as a problem. I doubt if many "invincible" young people, particularly "elite athletes" even consider heart attacks and cardiac arrest in the context of "recreational drugs" though it is amost a daily occurrence, sadly, in our city

This could have happened (and could still happen) to any AFL club including ours. Collingwood is strong enough to withstand the pressures that are being applied against the club ... but if this ever happened to us?

And let's not delude ourselves about the culture of this club over the past decade. One can only hope that the club and football administrations are right on top of this where our players are concerned?

I was told about 2 years ago from a source who has Club connections (not MFC) that The Filth & Whorethorn were involved to some degree, but nobody had any evidence.

Tony Sheahan has tweeted that TWO more AFL Players are set to announced as ‘early as this week’ to also testing positive to clenbuterol, the same performance enhancing drug Collingwood players Lachie Keeffe and Josh Thomas tested positive to. It is understood that the two players are from two different Victorian Clubs, however names of the players are currently being withheld due to legal ramifications.

It is also understood that clenbuterol is also commonly used to ‘cut’ cocaine.
