Sam spoke at the Premium Members' room last Sunday. From memory he said that he hoped to play the last couple of games at Casey, and he certainly said that he would play finals with Casey if they made it.

Have I missed something?

Has anyone heard just what was Sam Frost's toe injury?

A fracture, a dislocation, tendonitis, fasciitis?

Most if not all are either stamped or contracted for the future. On ice. May as well let Michie, Riley, Newton, and JKH have a run for the remainder of the year. No comment on Toump.

Looks like Frost might make it back for the last game of the season, although he's more likely to be 3 weeks that week.

Interesting we have gone from 12 players injured around about round 4 through to round 16 or so when we dropped down to 6 injured for a short while, then it is now back to 9. Now most of our injuries are from our top 25 players so we have played only at about 60% potential all year. If it all came together next season it could be interesting! Here is hoping.

After Song posted a pic of Frosty's toe, I'm surprised his career isn't over!

I hope he has a stint at Casey this year.

it's OK jumbo, they're growing another for him in a peatree dish.

I think that's a bit ambitious. We just don't know where Frost, Trengove and Petracca would sit in the best 22 stakes. They could be in it, could be a fair way out of it.

Our 2 biggest injuries so far have been Kent and Salem who are both best 22 IMO but in a lot of ways should've been replaceable if you are a side with good depth. Pedersen has missed a long stint as well and whilst he is probably best 25 again he should be replaceable.

Overall I'd say we've had about a league average year. Obviously that changes if Frost, Trengove and Petracca were all going to be major difference makers this year but all things considered I doubt they would've been.

I disagree in that with 44 players on a list, approx half should be best 22.

Where have the long term injuries to Bail, Jones, Terlich, Riley, Michie, Jamar, Spencer, King, OMac, McKenzie, White, Fitzpatrick been?

Hardly any injuries the bottom third of our list. Everything to best 22 and the fringe.

The list lengthens as the end of the season nears. An all too familiar story, I'm afraid.

Sam Frost?

Done "the MFC thing" - gone to Buller or Falls Creek. At least I heard a whisper that frost was there.

Frost in Mansfield this morning. Hope that helps.

Fitz has concussion? I thought the Casey report said he didn't come back after half time due to blood sugar issues?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
