Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Carlton alone have tanked on at least 5 occasions - when are they going to be investigated? Fair's fair.

The one and only reason we got scrutinised was because of Brock McLean. The AFL could not allow the image of the game tarnished and they were forced to act.

No, but I was there facepalming when that twit asked the question.

What a complete and utter ignoramus.

Brayshaw said he lives near Nathan Jones, but the point still stands.

That "twit" was a past player whose number was originally inherited by Jimmy Stynes (viz. No. 37)!

No, don't agree with this. McLean was a former player who expressed his opinion, others such as Wallace a former coach and Liberatore an assistant coach said much worse than McLean yet their clubs were not investigated.

The reason was more likely that Anderson got hold of the issue whilst AD was out of the country. If he was here at the time I think the issue would have been a one week headline and buried.

PJ tells it like it is, me I don't think we will make finals this year, but we will set it up for the following year, he has set the bar low for now, who knows if everything aligns it could be this year, but no wild predictions from those that matter

HL was brilliant, spoke to him afterwards, has cut all social media and mainstream media since leaving the Pies to just become HL the footy player and leadership group member before the start of the season, intends to open up more as season progresses as it will be expected

Brayshaw pushed Petracca under the bus, brilliantly set up by Roos

It would not be a MFC AGM without a face palm moment

I was a bit staggered when the guy asked the question about the Casey Scorps commitment, I thought all supporters knew that it was a 10 year agreement

iMO a very large number of people there last night did not know the dates involved.

It was a good question IMO.

it seems to be that the re-branding will incorporate the 'mfc' entwined letters that have become part of the look and feel of the club in recent times, and i'm guessing use of the mcg as a symbol to associate with the club. looking forward to seeing what the graphic designer comes up with - simplicity is key.

Not as staggering as this comment. Seriously not everyone has the 24/7 hour access to the club to know all this information.

I knew about the 30 year agreement but not the 10 year deal that's been mentioned.

Whether or not you think we will make finals in 2015, it should at least be the AIM to make finals at the beginning of each season. To say our goal is to just make ONE final by the end of NEXT year is pretty poor PR if nothing else.

I don't think we'll make finals in 2015 but it's not a foregone conclusion. Lots of things can happen in a season, look at 1987, 1994, 1998 - why put a ceiling on things?

I'll be happy when we finally get out of the bottom 4, it appears although Mark Neeld used to ride on the "reality bus", it appears PJ is actually the driver.....

What injuries did the bus sustain?

There was one little maybe tongue in cheek remark by PJ about the VCA moving into the junction oval and freeing up time and space at the MCG.

I just can't see CA releasing their hold on the "G" over the summer period.

The drop in pitches stil have to be in place for test matches.

Thought it sounded funny at the time, hearing is not a strong point at the moment.

Another thing that was quite shocking to hear last night, was how bad the relationship with the scorpions has been over the last few years. PJ and Roos both said how happy they are with the new cases coach and that he is on the MFC payroll. The expectation now is that the alignment will actually add to the development of players rather than be counterproductive.

So many things were broken, it's no wonder we have been so bad.

Yes we would be able to write the manual on how not to run a football club.

That explains why we didn't have a game plan that worked.

We had 2 coaches controlled by 2 different Boards.

In the money section of last night, PJ mentioned $124,000 returned to the MFC from an insurance company. He said it was to do with an AFL investigation. I can only assume it was the tanking. Does anybody have any idea what this is about?

I would have guessed it was Daniel Bell-related.

That "twit" was a past player whose number was originally inherited by Jimmy Stynes (viz. No. 37)!

Being a former player doesn't make him any more or any less ignorant.

Did he maybe suffer a lot of concussions in his playing days..?

I remember having this argument on here a few years ago when Jim Stynes said before one season that Melbourne "will not" make the finals. I'm a huge Stynes fan but he lost me a bit with that one.

I don't care what you say behind closed doors but, externally my belief is that you always say the aim is to play finals, every year. Yes, Jackson is being honest but keep that stuff to yourself and don't try and lower supporter expectations.

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was

UNDER THE PUMP by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have been left languishing near the bottom of the VFL table after suffering a 32-point defeat at the hands of stand alone club Williamstown at Casey Fields on Sunday. The Demons suffered a major setback before the game even started when AFL listed players Ben Brown, Marty Hore and Josh Schache were withdrawn from the selected side. Only Schache was confirmed as an injury replacement, the other two held over as possible injury replacements for Melbourne’s Thursday night fixt
