I am not going to demand Tyson give more than he gave in 2014 - he was superb. If he stays as productive I would be delighted - he is still young.

I expect Viney to give a little more but Salem, Brayshaw and JKH are babies.

Toumpas, Riley, Michie, and Newton is where our improvement will come from - and I just don't see them having much of an impact at all in 2015. If a couple of them can come in and be consistent members of the 22 then that would be great.

I think we will get more from Tyson in 2015 and a bit more improvement from team mid with Jones, Tyson, Vince & Cross. I expect Viney will step up and be a more consistent player.

Watts on a wing, Garlett pushing in occasionally some more run with 'H' from HB, Howey high half up to wing.

Hogan as a forward target.

Better depth players with Michie, Newton, Riley

Quality kids Salem & Brayshaw

I would expect a major step up in the midfield this coming season.

Article by Emma Quayle today:

http://m.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/how-potential-no1-draft-pick-paddy-mccartin-got-his-footy-career-organised-20141124-11s77k.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

And interestingly an article on the Saints website that seems to hint at them taking McCartin at 1:

I think we win either way.

We could do with another forward to help Jesse out for the next decade, take the pressure off him.

But if Petracca does slip, we'd welcome him with open arms.

I'm glad St Kilda have the tough decision to make and not us.

If so it may affect our choice for pick 40/53. For one of those we may 'reach' for a forward, as apparently there aren't many in the drafts over the next few years.

Here is Emma Quayle's Draft Combine for Tall Forwards: http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/afl-draft-combine-harvester-tall-forwards-20141002-10pi7w.html%C2'> Only Lamb, McCartin & Peter Wright are in her Top 30 so there is a good chance a good Forward will slide to pick 40. Will study her form guide before I put a name up for pick 40.

Reece McKenzie could go anywhere from 20-50

Agree it does sound like saints will go for mccartin Thursday. I think the fact that there seems to be a firming view that the 3 best players are quite clear cut and that we get two of them, it has to be a good thing ....

I always expected it to swing back with rumours like this, even if its only to generate a bit more interest in the pointy end of a draft that for so long has seemed a fait accompli.

I fully expect Petracca to go 1.

My dream draft result would be...

2: Petracca

3: Brayshaw

40: Oscar McDonald

53: Dean Gore

Still think they will take Petracca at 1 aswell. Alan Richardson is good family friends with the Petraccas so I imagine that will help his cause.

Then again Todd Viney did overlook Ollie Wines...

'Gday Dazzle man feel like a joust??

I still believe, that Ocean Grove exorcised his rights as Senior Coach and picked Toumpas over Wines because in his view, the outside finisher was more important than the inside Grunt!

Another interesting "Conspiracy" Theory is then If Todd had the main say, why did he not pick a close family friend knowing that he was indeed a likely player who would sit nicely alongside his son in the midfield?? Hnmm Eh Eh?

You might know where I am heading with this!

No Todd Viney picked toumpas.

For all the bad decisions Neeld did this was not one of them. Infact Mark Neeld was very big on Wines as he believed contested ball winners wins games.

Todd Viney and even Jack Viney aswell rated Toumpas a top 2 pick. When news came out GWS were set to overlook Toump Todd Viney couldn't believe his luck.

True story.

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
