If we get the compo pick for Frawley (pick 3) I'm told it will be 100% traded which the AFL are aware of.

The two options are:

Pick 3 and Toumpas for Dangerfield and possibly another player.

Pick 3 for Dylan Shiel.

I have no idea of the validity of what you're saying, but I like it.

Adelaide want top end picks after missing out on last year's draft. They cant afford to have a missing age bracket in years to come.

If Dangerfield was to walk through Free Agency next year they would end up with a compo pick around 8 - 14 - pending where they finish.

Melbourne has basically offered Dangerfield a blank cheque. Hence PJ's call for assistance to pay our full salary cap.

Also - GWS are all over Petracca and will need assurance that we take Brayshaw with pick 2 in return for Shiel.

Rest assured, Roosy will earn his money in the next 6 weeks.

That makes no sense, why not just give them pick 2

It means we hold the cards.

Also talk about giving them picks 2 and 3 for pick 4 & Shiel

I could handle this possibility, lose picks 2 & 3 and get shiel. Use pick 4 and toumpas to get Danger!

I listened to JT discussing missing Adelaide on the radio about 2 months ago on a Saturday morning.

He was being interviewed as MFC's cultural representitive at the time.

When asked about SA he sounded homesick and didnt really discount going back.

At the time I strongly felt he was looking for a trade home.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is gone in a trade at the end of the year. In fact I would think its 50/50 but merely my opinion.

that would not shock me at all so I would go pick 3 and JT for Sloan in a heart beat

If those are possible options, why not go 1 step further?

Offer GWS pick 2 (Petracca) + Blease....................MFC get Shiel + Frost

Offer Adelaide Pick 3 + Toumpas............................MFC get Dangerfield (and maybe Lyons)

Thought you were talking about Trengove initially!

On Toumpas - players in general are more likely to get homesick when injured and things are going badly. I think he would get through it in time.

He's clearly a nice kid and I'm still confident he'll be a good player. If we traded him I'd be genuinely sorry to see him go - but I'd get over it pretty quickly if it ended with us landing Dangerfield.

If we end up trading for Dangerfield what is to stop him walking from us next year as a free agent. Assuming he also doesn't sign an extension?

I can't see Adelaide letting Danger go for anything less then pick 2 & another first rounder (possibly 3), and we haven't even discussed why a gun would want to join the MFC in the position we're in

This thread is pure fantasy....

What you're saying does make sense and I have no doubt the Dees would be after a gun (like Danger)

Option 1 - didn't Toump say he wanted to stay in Melb to help rebuid the MFC - did I miss something here?

Plus what is the likelyhood of Adel trading Danger or Danger actually wanting to come to the Dees

Option 2 - I like but, and I've heard Sheil will come back to Melb, but who knows what GWS would want, would Frost also be involved?

I like what you're saying Partyboy but the realist inside me can't see Danger happening and Sheil would be more complicated transaction

Because it doesn't work that way, he only has his service record at Adelaide. If he moves to another club he goes back to year one.

...but I do think you are right, the thread is pure fantasy.

If Danger was to come it us, i think we would have to secure someone else of worth to show it is not all up to him to save us. So if a deal is done it would probably be a last minute just before the siren type thing.

I feel like I'm on the set of The Castle and everyone here is dreamin'.

Agree. Can someone terminate this thread - it just shows Demonland to be a delusional website for morons.

Danger would be regarded as in the top two young players in the country with Fyfe - so why would he come to our club?

He'll be the Crows captain next year and if he really can't hack it in Adelaide, then he'll go to a Victorian club with money and success.

well your condescending garbage just shows what a moron you are because there have been many instances eg PAUL ROOS where every cretin that told the rest of us to 'stop dreamin' was proven to be a complete dolt. If you don't like it don't read it, but don't waste any keystrokes telling us what we can and can't discuss. GRRRRRRRRRRR

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
