Last year I also decided not to renew my membership as I wasn't enjoying going to games anymore, I wasn't enjoying getting smashed every week and watching our 'players' put in little to no effort. Today was the first and only game I've been to all year (due to free tickets from a mate) and I can safely say I don't regret that decision at all. If anybody finds a 2013 membership scarf at etihad it's all yours I won't be needing it. This team has lost me.

I find it very hard to find any positives at all in that performance.

What's to analyse after 7 years? but I'm glad you have it figured out. Get some outside players who can kick.

We have had limited improvement in a couple of areas. In most areas we are below VFL standard. There are plenty of us who are sick of the ineptitude. Time and time again we see it. Terlich has a dip but gives it back 30% of the time. So what's the point? He's not alone.

Hey we arent getting belted by 100points. Well f me I feel great about that.

We aren't breaking down the atom here. We are kicking a footy. And frankly some of the muppets on the field can't do that most of the time - well not to a team mate they cant.

The number of times we are bringing the ball forward and we miss targets is embarrassing. And I'm not just talking about the obvious clangers, I lost count of the number of simple kicks that miss their target by a couple of metres, putting the receiver under pressure, and then the ball being coughed up in the next couple of possessions due to the unnecessary pressure.

Terlich was possibly the worst culprit today but wasn't alone.

And Jack Watts...wow. His season goes from average to ordinary to putrid by the week.

So many players going through the motions today. Roos comments sum it up perfectly: the players wait to lose.

The likes of Jones, Watts and Vince continue to disappointment me. Jones works his butt off but he simply isn't the kind of guy we need to lead us to victory. We just need that one X-factor that has the drive and will to push everyone around them to win.

Tyson looks to be the only player with this quality. Maybe Viney. But they've played bloody 20-30 games each!

Our biggest problem is not guys like McKenzie. It's that our leaders are no-shows when we need them, and they're the ones making the worst errors at the worst times.

Bit harsh jnr, it's a valid question. Clearly when the heat is on we go to water and our skills, which are poor anyway, look even worse when we are under the pump. Keeping a cool head under pressure would help to alleviate some of the errors that we make.

Aidan Riley how can you miss from the edge of the goal square? Why did you lie on the ground for 20 seconds after taking a mark instead of getting up and kicking to a teammate streaming into goal, only to then do a rubbish chip kick and turn it over? Pathetic.

God that was bad - it was a decent grab, then bam! quadruple error 1)took forever to get up and get on with it 2)chose a terrible option in Jack Viney and 3) an absolute lollipop skyball that gave him zero chance to mark it and 4)the context of this play was that it set up brissy to march straight down the middle and it bounced straight down the other end for a goal. Unbelievably poor football, that is why he is an adelaide reject on the fringe of our pitiful side.

Pretty happy my son had his lightening premiership today.

I got home and caught about 5 of our final 8 mins of play then switched it off......that was enough to make me irate, so I am happy I didn't see it all.

At the MBC function last month, Jackson made the point that success will come, but it arrive after he has left the club and perhaps after Roos has too - certainly after he is no longer senior coach. That is how much needs to be done on just about every damn level.

They are realistic about it - we are not. And why would we want to be - damned to several more seasons of utter tripe. Roos is right about the culture the playing group - they don't know how to win. They also have a class deficit which makes it all the harder to capitalise on effort when it is there.

I can see why the club might want forwards too. One effective forward would change a lot about our results straight away.

One thing I don't get about Jack Watts he is supposedly our best kick/one of our most skilled players - so why is his first instinct to always looks to handball immediately! He gets the ball and always looks to quickly flick it around, that's gotta be basketball instincts yeah?

Another thing I noticed today is that he does work hard to get to the ball but then sort of hangs back and/or is always about a step or two away from being able to actually impact whether that be contest for the ball or apply pressure/tackle.

It is a sad sign of how we clutch at straws, when we speak in glowing terms about Nate Jones, who is seen by many as our best player ( dual Bluey winner who might very well win his third this year) when, in reality, he is a battling scrapper who is B grade at best, compiling meaningless possessions. He has always been too slow to really compete with the best but we love him because of his courage and pure guts.

Rarely post but feel it's time to wonder/ask if Roos has now the courage to strip this team of NQR's back to a core number of genuine players - may be less than a dozen - and start an effective rebuild once and for all. Time will tell soon enough to know if the will is there m'thinks...

We were putrid today and so were Brisbane it was just a rubbish game between two bottom 4 sides. But I think there is hope. Other than a handful of games we've been pretty good this year and by pretty good I mean still in the game in the final quarter. Even today we were up by 13 points in the last and had a horrendous run of points kicking 1.10 for pretty much a half of footy (Tyson's goal on 3/4 time made it 2.10). We were pretty unlucky in both Dogs and both Port games, we won in SA for the first time in 13 years and we've got Hogan to come.in next year as well as more time Into Tyson, Salem, Viney. If we can have a decent trade/draft period I think we'll improve again next year and can make finals in 2016. It sucks that it's been going on so long but I've got faith in those there now as well as our young players. What most worries me is Jackson and Roos won't want to.stick around and their good work is undone before they are able to make a real impact.

He is better than you give him credit for and would be able to show it if he didn't have to carry the midfield for the last 5 years.

That frustration is evident, but not misplaced either. This mob deserve to be spoken about in those terms and it's merely further evidence that many who are still currently out of contract won't be offered a new one.

MFC had 29 1%ers. 15 of them were T-Mac. What an embarrassment that one player can have more than half our total.
