Hoping this conversation is going down right now.. Roos to Watts. Wattsy put the red vest on... I'll back Salem to have more composure and impact in his first game than you've had in two weeks.

why does watts always look to handball first?

we want him to kick - he's supposedly one of the best kicks in the league.

I just might handball that question sideways, to the next mug. let them take your heat on the question of Wattage.

There will be a massive Bronx cheers if Watts is subbed, didn't he get upset last time that happened?

To be fair it was mostly Essendon supporters, most Melbourne supporters had left and those that remained were in total shocked silence.

OK. Half Time.

Thing's I've loved:

Viney took a mark in front of the leading Franklin. Stretched right up and left himself wide open with no idea how close Franklin was. THe kid has no sense of self-preservation.

Nev hurling himself into the air to spoil a certain mark, winning the ground ball and getting hit high for what would have been a free kick had he been wearing just about any other jumper.

Jamar's effort around the ground. He's not getting many disposals, but he's providing a physical presence more than he has for the last few years.

The overall physical effort from the team.

Things i've hated:

The [censored]-poor one-eyed umpiring.

Watts' inability to chase, compete for a contested ball, jump for a mark with both hands...

Concerns:

Pretty sure we'll see at least one of our players suspended out of this.

I'd love to see us make the most of our inside 50s in the second half to put on some scoreboard pressure.

The boys just lack the composure when its a hot footy. Quite a few times they've been off and a fumble at a critical time has killed our surge forward.

The umpiring has killed this great game we love... Thanks Wayne Campbell.

players need to move the ball on quicker, just too slow in picking the next option. Jack Watts needs to lift as does Howe who should not have missed that first goal. We maybe able to keep up with the swans if those players who have been missing in the first half can put in like their team mates have been. oh and the umpires being consistent and fair with the decisions would also help.

On ANZAC weekend, I'm going to go ahead and say that Jack Watts would be a monty to survive several major wars completely unininjured.

Call of the week!

The poor tackles and lackadaisical approach by Watts is one thing, but the fact he handballs off in the back line and instead of shepherding for his teammate, waltzes off to try and get an easy handball back makes it the worst.

It makes me sad to say it, but he's just not a footballer. I'm sick of telling friends he'll be something and he repaying us by offering this crap.

Pedersen has been excellent. Roos fingerprints all over the Dees now.

Well, we kept them goalless for that quarter. That's something. Sub Watts off for Salem at halftime and we might see a quick skillful player running on to the loose ball and pinpointing some passes.

Wouldn't it be ironic, IF, watts was subbed for Salem, & Salem sets the House on Fire.

watts for Casey for mine for the Next 6 weeks mini mum... learn to play with Vigour Jack.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
