I've probably seen enough from Neville Jetta now. As much as I wanted him to make the grade, it's just not going to happen.

I just don't know how anyone can defend Watts.

Everything he does he does at about 20%. He doesn't man-up and he provides such meek leads.

He uses the ball really well, but that's all he does. He's like a vampire or a leech who feeds off his teammates hard ball. Can't win it, and can't even halve his contests.

Great goal there from Frawley.

j kelly got 20 touches and 2 goals today.

just saying...

Tyson has 11 to half-time. What's your point? Are you surprised GWS picked a good player at #2?

Chris Dawes is so awesome. Picks up the dead ball at half time and practices his goalkicking with it.

If Watts is like this under a good coach then we should trade him. Rather have his direct opposite (clisby). We're playing with 17 men.

Far too many MFC players opt out of heavy body contact when it's their turn to go. And in many cases when its their turn to go they don't have the nous to realise or desire to act!

If he was playing kick-to-kick he would be a star, but he's not.

Suns are smashing us in total disposals (191-148), yet they are also winning the tackle count (35-29). Says it all really. They should be 8 goals up.

If he were playing jack-in-the-pack, he'd never get the ball.

KH needs to be subbed. Hasn't got a clue how to contest, pressure or chase. Back to the magoos for more education

So many rebounds turned over at half back. We are back to having no system for taking the ball out of defence.

Roos isn't going to like this.

Because every now and again he does something that sparks a little bit of hope that he might just be that elite player we've all hoped he'll become.

But I am well and truly done with defending Watts. Young players make mistakes, that's expected. But there is no excuse for his lack of effort and weak as F intensity at the contest.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
